It looks wonderful and I bet it adds thickness which can only feel very nice. The thicker the better!
How long did the installation take and did you have to pull hard on the string, or the wrap was just the right size. Also, for all four sections, did you do one stitching or four?
Thanks yep it just feels really good smooth and thicc. I just pulled it snug and held pressure on the string every time i ran the needle through the loop i held it tight until i made the next loop. its the right size for the steering wheel. It took about an hour to do. All four sections were done. I measured out the string four times the length of each section and it was perfect. I had leftover string.

So...do you by any chance have a link from where you ordered it? I went to dh gate and can't find it. Thanks for the help and info. BTW it looks great!!

Finally painted the front emblem to match the Ranger letters, and the tailgate emblem!

Now I need to black out the lower bumper and skid plate

I gave True North a bath at the local coin-op and took care of the interior with some 303 Protectant. Tomorrow, I’ll clean out the bed, move my tools to their respective places in the garage, and give it a once over with some detailing spray. The Ranger will likely see a lot less driving over the next year.

True North is a work truck and I’m stepping away from my contractor gig for a bit and throwing on my Corporate Communications Consultant hat (See Occupation in my profile) for the next year (I know, the two don’t make sense at all). I have someone at home who needs my help and this contract lets me work from home and that’s a huge plus!

So, I guess it’s now a “play“ truck. There’s one thing for sure - it will be so nice to be free of saw dust for a while. Man, that stuff gets everywhere. Instead of posting pics of my truck loaded with lumber, maybe I’ll be posting pictures of True North checking out some fire roads or getting buried up to its axles in mud.

Did it come with detailed instructions on how to do the stitching as I've never tried anything like that.

Could you post up a pic of the instructions if it came with them?

Looks great!

Let me start by saying I didn’t want to put mud flaps on my truck no offense. Honestly I’ve never had a problem with rocks kicking up but my setup throws rocks and the open space between fender and frame is a catchers mitt and dented it from inside out had to fix it will see what happens now.

Thanks. No instructions but i watched a bunch of youtube videos and the first 5 minutes i struggled but then i got the concept and it went smooth. Heres a really good video.

I should probably mention that i removed the airbag and all the steering wheel buttons with the trim but that wasn't for the stitch i was using epoxy to stick the carbon fiber on the wheel trim. It made it easier to stitch the wheel but it can be done without removing them.
( they do come off pretty easy 5 min )

Do you have patterns for these now or just a one off custom job never to be replicated again? Curious minds want to know.
