Holes in your Ranger rocker panels?

Do all 5G Rangers have these gaping holes on the rocker panels? Hard to believe these are the best design alternative when considering all factors.

Many contaminants and water are invited to enter here on my 2021... So weird, when compared to EVERY other vehicle I have seen or owned.

Would love to hear an explanation for these - that makes them seem right not wrong.

That's odd. Mine is a '19 and does not have these holes.
Edit. I have the single plug like above, not a row of holes like the OP.

I have the row of holes in my ‘20 but there are plugs in each one.

'21 crew with 10 holes in each rocker. My '20 SCAB only had the plugged hole(s) fewer in number as shown above by AZ.

Just checked and my 2021 crew has a row of holes just like the OP's.

OK I just checked my 2020 has 10 holes on each side but every single one of them have a rubber plug in them, and my plugs are painted over (not that that matters to anything). The factory failed to put these in you need to get you some and put in there.

Gotta go pick up the daughter from practice in a bit. Don't remember anything like that when I looked at how my steps are mounted though.

As stated above. My 2020 is the same. Must've never noticed 'cause the plugs.

I have a 21 Tremor with the unplugged holes. I saw them before and thought maybe they were to drain water but since some people have plugs I guess not.

They are necessary to the manufacturing process.

The holes are normal manufacturing access points. They should be plugged though.

I didn't recall seeing any holes like OP's...if there were any, they're covered up long ago by Bushwacker rocker shield...

Came across this thread and went out to the parking lot to check my truck. On my hands and knees crawling around. Yup I got them and their plugged. 2020 XLT.

Y’all got an applause from some of my younger cohorts in business. They said it’s the first time they ever saw me come to my knees and crawl! ?
