Does anyone notice while ur truck is off you will barely hear a click and a beep kinda coming from it when it near it once in a while? Could be battery ? I am connected with my wifi? Just wondering if anyone notices it....I have an Xlt with a key so I don't have a keyless fob..

I look at mine cross eyed and it gives me the R2D2 beep. It's in the garage connected to WIFI when I notice it.

I was scolded by Adam Harris that I comment on everything.
while I do have an answer for you, I have to politely decline to answer for fear up upsetting Adam anymore with my excessive posting.
Sorry. Its Adams fault.

Mine made some interesting noises when I was working on it last night after freshly being turned off. I'm guessing after X amount of time, things click off and go into sleepy time mode.

Mine also makes odd noises. When I open the door, when I turn it off, when I look at it sideways. It's just the nature of the beast. :)

I believe it will only make this noise if the key is near. This is the vehicle “waking up”. The odd computer turning on and possibly the fuel pump pressurizing…

You'll hear relays click and whatnot when the telematics unit wakes the truck up. If you ever hear a slight squeak it's the turbo wastegate actuator. It will cycle sometimes when the other items wake up. You can see it move in the passenger front wheel well. On the Lariat you'll hear the relays and fuel pump when the key is near or if the door is opened. My XLT primes the fuel pump any time the driver's door is opened.

Whew!
Fuel pump, turbo waste gate, etc.... all getting ready to go if I get anywhere near my truck?
Really?
Who knew?

And really, is all this necessary?
Jeeze, no wonder I have to charge my battery once in a while.

But thanks for informing me about what's going on with this stuff.

Yeah, it's why my wife wants to keep her 7 year old Outback, she hates the new technology.

And exactly why I got rid of my 11 year old Outback. I had to get a rental several years ago and realized how old my tech was in the outback. I held out a few years until I talked myself into an upgrade. My ranger does make a lot of r2d2 noises, but I love the tech, even though it really isn't top end. Compared to an 09 outback it's top end. :)

Retired, work is a four letter word.
I was under mine in the garage running a cable and it did this, was hoping it wasn't going to go for a drive without me. But my wife's car is even worse, damn new Prius makes all kinds of strange noises.
