Those folks should have just bought a Prius. For the life of me, I can't/don't understand what seems to be an obsession with some to figure out the mileage to the last 1/20 of a mpg !!!

Shocked I tell ya...Yep! That's the way it works. Idling time negatively impacts your overall mpg

Neither the analog nor the digital speedometer change while in Park, ignition on or off. But with the ignition off, the fuel economy reading stays the same. Even if I switch it to metric; 0 kmh. But I can't figger out where the new gas is coming from when it's in the metric scale. If I'm driving at a nice sedate 90kmh, The fuel economy is 8.71 L/100km. but when I floor it, it shoots up to 65.34 L/100km! I think this might be where the fuel in oil problem is. If I drive it like I stole it, the extra gas created has nowhere to go, so it must dump into the oil pan.You are splitting hairs. In the context of this thread mileage = miles per gallon or mpg.
Damn Taco fan boy more like it. Coming in here spying. We might have a ghost amongst us.?
Probably trying to find out info on our 4cyl turbos seeing as they're now getting one next year.Damn Taco fan boy more like it. Coming in here spying.
You should mount a 150 gallon tank in the bed. Plumb it in to catch that extra gas. Sell the gas to your neighbors!Neither the analog nor the digital speedometer change while in Park, ignition on or off. But with the ignition off, the fuel economy reading stays the same. So I drive 90kmh (56 mph) or slower. Lousy 8L/100km but I don't have fuel in the oil.
