My wife has it from her work and all she did was initiate PIN and put my email information in. Ford then emailed me all the information needed to sign in to their site to see X Plan pricing. Then All I had to do was print out the original email I received and take it with me to the dealership. They never asked about her or how I got access to X Plan pricing.
Good to know for the future.

I went to a lot of trouble to get my '19 Lariat where it is now. I can't imagine but don't doubt, that Carvana could price in all the things like FP tune, Borla cat back, mid-range Line-x spray in versus generic, etc., and low mileagee(6700) But sure would be curious. I wouldn't go to the trouble of selling and getting another unless the bigger Eco-boosts became available.

Same here with a tune, custom seat covers, Fox lift and bigger tires. New model with a 2.7 V6 might be enticing though. If the new one has a tailgate damper as a standard option though I have to make the upgrade. ?

Had an interesting conversation at a local Chevy dealer today....all incentives ended today, not much if anything expected going forward. They expect to be just taking orders in 3 months with no inventory. I didn't get on the ###vana train....but with trade in value offered (clear title) and a wash out of taxed balance....was good enough to get me back in a full size. This Ranger really grew on me, hated to let it go. Lot of fun to drive! Anybody lookn for a deal on Firestone Air bags, unopened box ? :)

I just took Carvana's offer.. Getting 30.5k for a truck I paid 24k for. I just made 6k to drive a truck for a year and a half.. I've easily had 20+ vehicles in my life and this is a first for me. Gotta love supply and demand. Going to pick up a low mileage 4x4 might not be a Ranger tho, maybe a used F150 when the dust settles as I don't need another vehicle for a while.

That's an amazing price they gave you and I don't blame you for selling! Heck you normally lose 6K just walking out of the dealership after the sale. Well maybe not that much but you rarely make money 1.5 years later unless it's a collector.

Yeah.. Timing is also good for me and I have zero emotional attachment to vehicles (my wife hates this). Its been fun and I enjoyed it. Ill miss this forum more than the truck :-(

I think the Texas truck market is bonkers right now too. Some one will pay whatever Carvana wants for that truck.

Just because you don't have your Ranger anymore doesn't mean you cant still hang out with us crazies. ? I don't get overly attached to vehicles either and while I love my Ranger I do love making money more. Hopefully when the next Gen comes out you might think about getting another one?

Well my 2019 just rolled away on the Carvana chariot. $32,258 in my bank account. Just picked up my discounted 2021 for $33,600. I made $4,000 on my 2019, only extra cost will be window tint and an alignment on the 2021 when I install my Bilstein 5100s. Everything else I switched over or came from the dealer. I will miss the Lightning Blue, but the Velocity is pretty close.

I believe Carvana writes its own financing paper. The real money is in the interest they charge. They don’t mind paying a bit more to acquire an interest generating unit. Folks who own their cars outright benefit most from selling to Carvana, win/win. I believe a real shortage must be looming as Carvana is stockpiling vehicles. They must know something we don’t, a company that successful has good forecasting models.

Its simple economics really. Carvana has an advantage in that they are not traditional stealership and they can play the supply / demand game very well. Yes, their rates are robbery, don't pay them. Credit unions kick ass for car loans, take the time to work with them. I love disruptive services like this... the dealership model is not consumer focused. Carvana is not perfect but at least you don't have 3 ass holes pressuring you to buy something you don't need. Check out unsecured auto loans too if you don't have cash and don't want a craps rate. Even a 650 score can get them right now.

Use the system, make some money while you can. You have no idea what tomorrow brings :) or don't, and enjoy what you have. End rant. USA! Capitalism! Lol.

Chris, take a look at the thousands of trucks just sitting waiting for chips, @VAMike posted this article in another thread. This chip shortage is going to kill new vehicle sales so I'm guessing Carvana sees this and is scooping everything up that they can. People will be looking for good quality used vehicles especially trucks. Add to that the crazy interest rates they charge and they will recoup their money in no time.

Yep.. This. At least in my area Carvana, vroom and Carmax are beating dealers buy thousands... The closest offer from a dealer for me as 28.5. Ford offered 25. Carvana is making a smart play, but those higher trades just mean higher prices for consumers.
