I've had several compact / midsize trucks going all the way back to 80's/90's Mazda/Ford/Nissan. I've always liked the full size, but I really need what you'd call a "lifestyle" truck.. some towing here and there, but mostly someplace to easily carry bikes/kayaks/skis etc on a rack with a bed I...
Yep.. This. At least in my area Carvana, vroom and Carmax are beating dealers buy thousands... The closest offer from a dealer for me as 28.5. Ford offered 25. Carvana is making a smart play, but those higher trades just mean higher prices for consumers.
Its simple economics really. Carvana has an advantage in that they are not traditional stealership and they can play the supply / demand game very well. Yes, their rates are robbery, don't pay them. Credit unions kick ass for car loans, take the time to work with them. I love disruptive services...
Yeah.. Timing is also good for me and I have zero emotional attachment to vehicles (my wife hates this). Its been fun and I enjoyed it. Ill miss this forum more than the truck :-(
I think the Texas truck market is bonkers right now too. Some one will pay whatever Carvana wants for that truck.
I just took Carvana's offer.. Getting 30.5k for a truck I paid 24k for. I just made 6k to drive a truck for a year and a half.. I've easily had 20+ vehicles in my life and this is a first for me. Gotta love supply and demand. Going to pick up a low mileage 4x4 might not be a Ranger tho, maybe a...
I chose a Ranger over an F150. I can sit it comfortably for 5 hours, but I'll never get to in one shot because I have to stop for gas due to the smaller Ranger tank. Its really frustrating when towing. That and I miss the the immense storage under the rear seat.
Fortunately those things mean...
88 lb German Shepherd here.. She love the back seat. Window down her head is out. Plenty of room for her to lay on the back seat even if my son is back there. She is 10 and getting a little slower can make the jump in and out no issue .
Just adding a positive note.. 17k, 1.5yrs, zero issues. Love the truck, have a great dealer I can count on, and find the truck to be very easy to work on myself if I want. I have a base tech XLT and appreciate the sensors and safety features more than I expected. Autobraking has helped me a...
Brake controller came today. I really wanted the OEM controller for the clean look, but I have more than one tow vehicle and I can move this one around. Looking forward to digging through wires under the dash.
Got my Eibach rears today and promptly installed them. Pretty easy and a nice improvement.
Unexpected side effect - the new shocks fixed my leaning bed. Was 1/4 inch lower on the drivers side. Now I'm dead even at 9" on both sides.
