I agree.I still vote Low Speed Pre-Ignition (LSPI)
The failures were triggered by LSPI and exacerbated by the driving after the initial failure.I agree.
is the chart specific to the 2.3 engine or ?
Generalized. I have seen it used in other explanations of LSPI.is the chart specific to the 2.3 engine or ?

Ford has made a point of reinforcing ringlands on the 2.3 EB. The 2.3 is more likely to toss a rod before a piston falls apart. Every engine has a weak point.Interesting write up here. Pay attention to the second paragraph where the 1.6 and 2.3 Ecoboost are mentioned.
Keeping the Ecoboost 2.0 alive
Hey Tyler, waiting on the stock down pipe to arrive, and hopefully have my truck back by the end of the week, I’m thinking realistically it’ll be some time next week...Can you give a summary of where you are at now with all this? Spare a lot of us searching through the original thread lol

This is the messed up part John, I have a Ford Performance exhaust, and they won’t install it... I have to pay for a new stock exhaust, that I’m going to take off anyway, to install the Performance Exhaust, made by Ford. This has been some of the frustration with this whole process...For a CSI autopsy you'd have to take it to a shop that does such work.
In Fords defense, as discussed in the other thread...
But you knew that going into this, right? That's why you bought the Stage 3 warranty. Smart move on your part!
- The tune voided the warranty.
- The oversized tires voided the warranty.
- The off-road exhaust voided the warranty.
What are you going to do with the block? That would make an awesome coffee table base!
Tune is 5 Star, you are correct.Sucks it happened, but it is nice to see stage 3 helping you out! So If im understanding/remember this correctly, your tune was a five star tune and the warranty is through stage 3? Regardless, I'm happy that your about to be back in your truck!
Or like some are having fuel in the oil to the extent of an over filled crankcaseMe too. For all we know it could have been low on oil or had the wrong oil.
