Most likely they bolt on in order to make assembly of the truck easier at the factory?

Another reason could be in order to make repairs at body shops easier?

You could ask your same question about many items. I mean technically they could weld the bumpers onto the truck frame. Why don't they do that?
Great question Henry.

But let’s stop burying the lead. We are compelled to call EVERYTHING into question Ford did with these trucks based purely on the fact there is NO TAILGATE DAMPER FROM THE FACTORY!

Yikes....I had to look up JMO Phil. First glance I thought that was an acronym for something else! LOL
Don't know why I apparently haven't seen that before. ?

Yes the crash bars should remain in place if possible but remember that right from the factory the Bronco with 35's (Sasquatch package) does not have crash bars. All the rest including those that come with 33's have them.

Edit: Here's a good picture on 33's. They made these bolt on so you could easily remove them to add larger tires. I'm guessing IF there was a big liability issue here Ford would've welded them on to cover their ass.

Geeze.. really? Who did you contact at Ford to determine this?

Guessing and assuming...

Maybe they are bolted for a reason at the factory to make the truck easier to assemble?

Yes I was ASSuming this but why would Ford design it this way if not for the intension of removing them to add larger tires? ?‍♂

So are most of the parts. The bumper is bolted on for example.

Ford has no liability if either is removed.

A lot of bro science going on here on both sides of the argument so let me add to the noise,

IF the crash bars are so crucial then WHY did Ford make them removeable?
Invalid question. Why are the bumbers removable?

How they are attached is meaningless.

Talking about bro science......geeez. "if they didn't want people jumping off the bridge, they would have added walls and a roof.
