Wow! Very nice! Do I get some sort of thread starting fee for this? Just a little cut of the pie? Haha just kidding. That’s awesome. Thinking about doing something similar myself but then I think about the money I’ve spent on mods, switching back over stock parts.. all that non sense. Meh too lazy
MY thoughts exactly. I've spent at least 5k in upgrades, would they want it back to stock or would they pay me for the upgrades?

I like it! Though I'd never do any real off-roading so I'd be just buying a 'look'...then everyone would be calling me a poser, mall-crawler etc.

ENJOY!
Man I took the xlt out the first weekend I had it to Hidden Falls Adventure Park. Did the leveling kit and tires 2 or 3 days after buying, so it was ready to go. It performed well! I did have one incident where I ended up slamming the trailer hitch into the ground. But we survived damage free

You might want to take it back to the dealership and get one that doesn't have a bloody nose.

jk... congrat's on the new truck.
I traded in my 2019 Ranger XLT Sport 4x4 in on a Tremor! I had a Carvana offer for $31k (25k miles) which is what I paid new after rebates, so I headed to my local Ford dealer and left with a tremor! They ended up giving me 30k for the trade in and took the price of the XLT Tremor down to $39k.

They will take money off for mods, not pay you for them. That's just how they work.

By my calculation, you actually did better than the Carvana offer by $800 - since you didn't have to pay the sales tax on the trade-in value!

I'm going to be most likely selling my focus to carvana in a few weeks here as I'm supposed to take delivery of my ranger may 8th or 12th. If you don't mind me asking, when you did the quote online and got an offer was that it? They come give you the check and take the car?
I was actually in your same situation before I got my Ranger last month. I was getting out my Ford Focus (2015) as well and got an offer from Carvana that was good for 7 days. I'm sure I could have gotten more selling privately, but it was FAR better than trade-in values that I was getting.

I opted to schedule an appointment and drive it to their regional location (about a 45 minute drive). When I got there, they walked around the car, removed my license plate, had me sign a few papers, and that was it! They didn't even drive the car. Also, I opted for the ACH direct deposit, and the money was in my bank account before I even left the parking lot. Total time was about 10-15 minutes, although there were two customers in front of me that pushed my appointment back. Overall, great experience, and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

I know you werent asking me, but thought I would chime in since I just sold my car to Carvana today.

The guy showed up and paid off my loan before even walking completely around the car. The whole process was like 10 minutes. He never even moved the car.

For reference, I sold a 2019 Honda Civic Si, 19k miles. Paid $22,685 in 2019, sold today to Carvana for $23,166.

It was very smooth and painless. The guy came in a car, put a lockbox on, and even gave me the lockbox code in case I needed to move the car. A truck came and picked it up an hour or so later.

Awesome! It's get even better for me now. Way easier than haggling with a dealer. :)

NICE! Curious, what's the available payload on the Tremor?

I sold my 2020 to them it was easy as h e double hockey stick . From start to finish was 3 days . Then a week later the truck was paid off even with the Texas snow storm as thats ware the pay off was sent . Bought another ranger dealer was shocked and said I guess we won't see this truck back as a trade lol when I left with the new one .

Well in Illinois, wonderful state that it already was, they added sales tax on all trades over $10K, might be better to go to Carvana if one lived here. Average sales tax in state is 8.74% and 10.25 in Chicago. Got to love it.

Nice! If you don't mind me asking, what finance rate did the dealer offer?
