Yeah, in Texas it's generally if the total of repairs + supplemental claims (DV, rental, etc) + salvage value is 100% of ACV or greater it totals.

$19k estimate + high salvage value was cheaper to them than repairing and paying out diminished value. And faster.

I mean anything to get that estimate up. It was either do what I can to get it totaled or waste everyone's time repairing it and going after diminished value when it's done. This way is much better. And don't get me wrong, I'd trust the factory vs random shop tech any day of the week.

Cut the hard end of the wire cover off then I tied them together with a low heat solder butt connector. You can use regular butt connectors and tape too.

That piece is on every ranger. Can you just cut the legs on the Westin piece to allow it to work?
