You have a different cluster than me but I believe it is the average MPH of the miles you have driven.
If you increase that maybe your MPG will go up too.

It's your average speed...
And he's right in that if you're able to increase that (less stop-and-go traveling), your mpg will go up a bit.

I have just over 20K miles on the truck now, and this still holds true for my average mpg.

Yeah, it's not broken. It's the average speed the truck has traveled for all trips since it was last reset. Do as @RANGER PRIDE suggests and reset it.

AVG MPG since last reset. to reset, hold "OK" button on steering wheel (on XLT)On this screen, what is the thing I circled? It's been at 18 MPH since I got the truck (about 500 miles ago).

Yep. Thats it. You can reset it just hold down the OK on left side of wheel. When highlighted on it.You have a different cluster than me but I believe it is the average MPH of the miles you have driven.

Mine is 39 or so. Lots of highway like 80%. And I haven’t reset it in at least 100k. I gave up caring honesty.
