Seems like a slanderous thing to say.

Thats not how slander works, especially if he prefaces a statement with the word "if" in it.

If I go to every forum on the internet and state, "I think HenryMac is into pegging with pineapples" and that statement results in someone not giving you a job (as an example) because they don't want to hire someone with that hobby you can't do anything to do me. "I think" is a 1st Amendment free pass.

If I think a store has ripped me off for some reason and on the way out I tell all the customers walking in not to buy anything because "those assholes will rip you off" - again, nothing can be done.

Slander, much like terroristic threats, generally has to contain a very specific and detailed language as well as the victim able to provide real tangible evidence of damages.

I go to calls all the time in my line of work where people want to report someone for threanting them because, "He said he was going to take me out."

Well, take you out where? To dinner? A date? To play putt-putt golf?

His "if" applied to the OP.. not the dealer.

Ha only if he complies with a dealer trying to rip him a new one

What if they say "I'm going to take you out," while reaching into their pocket. And I shoot them?

Asking for a friend, who BTW is ALWAYS scared for his life.;)

@HenryMac is this a thing???? QUOTE... "If I go to every forum on the internet and state, "I think HenryMac is into pegging with pineapples"
I have no idea what that even means.

Must be something folks in Georgia do at their We Wo We Wo We Wo parties?

NIce one!

I still can't believe that the OP hasn't posted any pics, nor acknowledged why.
And I really can't believe that after (approaching) 60 pages, I'm the only person that asked.
On any other forum, people would have been yelling for proof after the 2nd page.
Ranger5g people have to be the nicest, most trusting people around. :)
Honestly, how can anyone have their vehicle towed to a dealer, have that dealer tell them the motor is toast and it is not under warranty, and just say OK, I take your word for it...I don't need to come see it myself?
The only reason I can give this thread any shred of merit is that Stage3 has said they are involved.........but without pics.......It Never Happened.

Do you have a quote from another dealership to replace a motor in a 2.3l Ranger? The correct motor for the truck is over $6,000.

Read post 738 I posted Fords high performance 2.3 crate motor as that seems to be what the OP is into so regardless of which motor he goes with quoted labor of 3058.00 plus motor comes out too 9k.

Love the 3 stooges - back in the early 70s went with a couple of friends to hear Moe Howard speak at a University, one guy stopped at a bakery and bought a small pie, Moe asked for questions to be written and he'd answer when finished speaking, my friend wrote he'd be honored to have Moe throw the pie in his face - Moe did so and rubbed it around just like in the old clips, the audience was in stitches. Moe passed a few yrs later - he looked very old and tired , he broke down weeping for several minutes when someone asked him about Curly. There was nothing that the 3 stooges didn't do, from playing caveman to astronauts, they did it all. Some info on the 3 stooges - they made 190 short clips.

And just to stay on topic in the thread - they were auto mechanics in one of their clips - they probably would have been happy to do a teardown of the OP engine.

I would personally have a problem with the quoted price for parts. A new engine is listed by Ford for 1000’s less than they’re quoting there.

Let’s just say shop rate is $90 an hour. They got it quoted for 40 hours.

Then the last part that not only you but also all of us would like to know is where is Fords regionals technicians report? Pictures, and reasons why warranty isn’t covering this gargantuan invoice...
