Greetings everyone! First post on the Forum, but I've been lurking awhile before I pulled the trigger on a new Ranger. After much soul-searching, I cancelled my Bronco reservation and accepted the fact that I'm a truck guy....have been for 25 years. However, this is my first 4X4. I wasn't going to give up on driving on the beach. I'm an old gearhead with a lift in the garage, so I knew a Ranger would be fun, and I bought my "blank canvas" 2 weeks ago: A Carbonized Gray basic XL with a 101A package. Here's the before:

Now for the parts list:

-Fox 2.0 coilovers/shocks (I did the LCA removal method)
-Vision Warriors 17 X 8.5 +25 offset, General Grabbers 265/70s
-Iconic 3" NERD bars
-Truxedo hard roll-up cover
-Curt class 3 hitch
-No taligate damper...I know somebody's gonna ask!

...and here she is!

Thank you all
who have posted so much valuable info in this Forum. I was able to accomplish so much and choose the correct rims and tires just from reading here. I look forward to participating.

Future stuff includes:
-CoveKing custom molded covers (them vinyl seats gonna be too hot!)
-AFN grille
-maybe some mild fender flares...haven't decided yet

Dang, Dave, have you noticed that more and more of the new members are joining the resistance right from the gitgo? This is great!

Beautiful truck, Ed! Welcome to the forum and the resistance!
Well Al, it's because they haven't been on here long enough to fall under the spell. Eventually they all cave in, some (like yourself) just take a little longer. Your day is coming my friend!

Ed says he has learned a lot by lurking here on this forum and has done a lot of soul searching. He is clear thinking guy who understands the evil of the dark side. Ed is just the kind of forum member we need in the resistance. Never surrender!

Funny thing is, my buddy just bought a Gladiator (no affiliation to this forum) and when he was checking out my truck we opened the bed: "wait...where's the tailgate damper?"

So it's a thing.

And.....That's how it starts. lol ?

See Al, once Ed starts hanging around his buddy more he will have to succumb to the damper side. Peer pressure on here is easier to resist but your friends....not a chance! :bandit:

Good grief, his buddy drives a Gladiator. No way Ed is surrendering.
