Yes, but would seek out a different dealer.

When I purchased mine the dealership / finance manager / salesman all pretty much fell into stereotypical categories as to why people despise them.

If you have to lie to make more money then you aren't worth a shit. A real salesman convinces the buyer to buy a product based on the value and merit of the product being worth the price. If you have to rely on the, "Well your credit score shows you were late on a car payment 4 years ago one time, so to get the loan approved Ford needs $5000 down" you are a piece of shit and suck at your tradeskill.

My finance manager actually tried to pull the "To get Ford to approve this we have to add an extended warranty" - the paperwork clearly states that very specific thing is bullshit. No seriously, in the print it states the warranty cannot be offered under the guise it is required for financial approval. The dumb ass was so use to this tactic it did not dawn on him to simply say, "Look, you are getting 0% financing over 84 months, check this out, adding this extends you to 100,000 miles bumper to bumper." Because guess what? Since I was getting 0% over 84 months I had planned to get an extended warranty anyhow along with GAP insurance since I was putting zero down.

I’d get mine again in a heartbeat. I wish that I could’ve added rain sensing wipers and the B&O stereo to the XLT I got. I have 302A, tech, towing, FX2 so really have everything I wanted. Absolutely love driving it every single time.

meh, yeah, maybe...
I'm about 70/30 or 80/20 on the pro/con scale on any given day. I admit I get bored easily, there are aspects I really like and some not-so-much. To 're' buy a Ranger I'd have to have all the little things I overlooked/accepted to feel good about taking it home like not a lot of cubbies/storage areas I was used to in my larger truck, power rear window, heated & auto folding side mirrors, integrated garage door opener, etc.. I would want a hybrid and/or 30mpg minimum, less 'sprung' suspension, less touchy brakes, an awesome graphite exterior color or bring back magnetic metallic [or similar]. Second time I'd have a lot more boxes to check off, not that does not say I regret buying or wish to dump it. I like the truck, just not cow-eyed in LOVE with it..sorry!

Mine is an XLT 4x4 sport with tech package that sits just a bit over mid-line overall. 19k on it now if I get rid of it I usually do it between 50-55k, much past that I just keep to over 100k+.

BTW my stealership called me 3 months in a row during the holidays this year to entice me to trade-up to a shiny NEW ranger...[see pretty sparkly new toy, open wallet, take huge depreciation hit.] NO THANK YOU.
I told them I have OCD and have been working remote from home for past 4 months, with those two aspects alone there is no value in considering and with my clean-freak issues it's probably cleaner than the new ones they have on the lot! It's been sitting in the heated garage and when I get bored I go out there and rub wax all over it and rub it hard.. [yes being weirdly sexual just to see if you all are reading this far].

Had an 85 ranger lifted 7 inches and loved it. This new one has too much new technology and mostly useless. The throttle lag is typical ford and transmission is ranging too much.
I have put on an idrive controller but have not found the sweet spot yet.
20 years in an old frontier and still missing it.

I'm comparing to my previous 2014 F-150 FX4 5.0L w/4" lift and a 5-Star tune. Currently have 2019 Lariat FX4 completely mechanically stock. Only mods are cosmetic.

After owning the Ranger for 18 months, I'm not sure.

Pros:
  • MPG
  • Power (for a 4 banger)
  • Ride (Smooth)
  • Looks
  • Towing (tows as much as my previous)
Cons:
  • Ride (Wallows but I don't want to change the shocks - yes, its also a Pro)
  • Bed is too small
  • Bed is too small
  • 5' bed (what the HELL was Ford thinking?)
I guess at the end of the day, no, I wouldn't get another one. I'd have to go back to an F-150. I really need a bigger bed for the things I do.

Lastly, part of my disappointment has absolutely nothing to do with the Ranger but It's always on my mind when I drive it - the Z3 Leer Topper. This thing has been a thorn in my side. Issues have been:
  • Leaked and was reinstalled several times before they fixed it.
    • Required several trips back to the topper dealer
  • Yakama Rails delaminated after 10 months (replaced under warranty)
    • These were purchased with the topper
    • I believe this was caused by intense UVs here in south Florida
    • Required several trips back to the topper dealer
  • Remote powered latch (replaced under warranty)
    • Cracked and failed (again, due to intense UVs)
    • Replaced and a week later, remote (key fob access) no longer worked
    • Now, its working intermittently
    • Required several trips back to the topper dealer
So far, all the topper issues I've had have been resolved under warranty, but my concern is what happens when warranty expires. The UVs aren't going away so there's no reason the think that these same issues won't come back later. I'm now applying UV protectant on those areas in the hope to resolve any future reoccurring issues.

Bottom line is - I've only gone to the Ford dealer for oil changes - no other issues at all. I've been to the topper dealer at least 8 times. Again, it has nothing to do with the quality of the Ranger but it's always on my mind when I'm in the truck. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Maybe I should use mouth wash.

We love the Ranger, it's a smooth ride, good accelaration when you want but mpg are a little high
so far.
We bought this truck to tow a smaller travel trailer (20' max & 3000 lbs).
We would buy another one for sure.

With only 1100 miles on mine we're still on the honeymoon. I ordered this Ranger just the way I wanted, a no frills SuperCab. I just didn't need all the electronic do-dads. We've got all that stuff on the others vehicles in the drive. Is it as fun to drive as the wife's Mustang GT, nope. But it can haul a crap load more than hers, and that's what I wanted. So yes, I'd buy another just like it if needed.

In a minute...lol
I was just on Car and Driver looking at an article on the 2022 Ranger. So many morons leaving comments about our current Rangers being "3rd World Trucks"....lol
I let them know they have NO idea what they are talking about and I'll run a ring around any TACO truck on road and off road with my Ranger. They just don't get it..... ;)
It's sad but I believe ignorance is bliss.....

After 15K+ of miles on our 19, we certainly would. The 6ft box works for us and we do lots of trailer pulling which it goes great at. No, its not perfect but we'd sure the &%@ get another.

A more truer statement is hard to be found Mark. :)
