I installed a catch can on my damper in case the seals start leaking.
Will installing the catch can void the damper warranty and are there any decreases in torque or HP by using one?

At the advice of @KJRR (sorry I've been slacking I'm on vacation ?) the tailgate damper has been left out of the mods section. Now that I've converted many here we need to see what mods you've done to yours and drop ideas for future mods. I know @P. A. Schilke has a custom Ford damper and @BButah was lucky to get a carbon fiber one.

Here's my first damper mod velcro tie to keep it from binding behind the tailgate strap. My second is a blend of essential oils and special oils from a renowned Swiss Dr. which adds 50+ hp. More if you rub it in the right spots.? Maybe now @FoD will break down and get one seeing everyones mods.?

I got the hazelnut from the coffee machine at Tasca Ford and put it right on my Ranger . If you get an extra large with cream it will fit any F 150 . Just do not buy two at once , too hot to handle .

I can't believe I spent all that time reading thru all 9 pages of this thread. But, I actually enjoyed it. It gave me some laughs.

I haven't done all that many mods to my ranger. It has become quite the garage queen with only just over 7K miles in a little over 21 & 1/2 months. My most expensive mod was to get it ceramic coated. My first, and probably cheapest was a smaller antenna. My mod to disable the auto Stop/Start probably the biggest PITA to install but well worth it. And, YES, the damper is worth it as well. I haven't seen the wear on the support cable, but I haven't looked for it. I guess I take a look tomorrow if I think of.

Keep up the thread, I look forward to more pseudo bickering.
