Hi y'all. I've been lurking here for a while and soaking up all your great posts, like a sponge. I'm getting ready to bite the bullet and trade my jeep wrangler in for a Ranger. I love the jeep, but I need more room and I want to haul stuff occasionally.

I'm looking at a 2020 XLT, Shadow Black with FX4, Sport package, and tow package. Or... 2021 XLT, Cyber Orange Metallic with FX4, and Black Appearance package. I think the cyber orange with the black package looks stunning. It has a nice metallic sparkle. Way better in person, than in a pic.

But I prefer the 17" wheels and the tow package on the Shadow Black model that's available. What to do... what to do...

New Ranger owner. Switched from a 2018 F150 to my 2020 Ranger XLT FX4. Love the vehicle, I have upgraded a few things (exhuast, low headlights, mud flaps etc)
Learning a lot about these trucks on this forum, appreciate all the input from these savy members. I plan on putting a tune on her after a couple oil changes. Ordered the 5 Star nGauge tuner. Looking forward to seeing what this truck can really do. Here is a pic of the day I picked her up.

They both look great! I really like the Cyber Orange (though it looks yellow to me).

What to do? That’s easy...

Get both - you’ll spend as much on mods anyway.

Steve here in West Texas. This is my second ranger. My first new vehicle was an XLT4x4 in 91, and back in November 2020 picked up my Rapid Red super crew XLT FX4 2020. Love this truck. Been getting 18 mpg really haven’t had a chance to test out the off-road capabilities other than the two small snowstorms that it did great in the snow/ice/slush.

Turns out if you buy one with all kinds of things already added to it, you don't need to justify to your significant other why you 'need' them! I'll be posting more pics and try to do a walkthrough soon. I'm also going to be posting a bunch on instagram @wasatchwranger if you want to follow along on our adventures.
