y'all are pretty triggered that someone on an internet forum wants their tailgate cables to be even.
Thanks everyone for your input but I think I'm going to go with the advice from the engineer that has a vast amount of experience on this subject instead of the keyboard warriors...
From what I have been told your address that you register the automobile is the zip code they use to apply any incentives. so if you fly out of state the out of state dealership will input your zip code to see what deals you are eligible for. I could be wrong but this was my understanding after...
When I was shopping Ford had different rebates depending on where you were located. The sales people implied that they had the U.S. split up into zones or regions and you were only eligible for rebates offered in your zip code. For reference I live in Iowa City, IA and my rebates were the same...
Nah I'm worried about the $10,000 motorcycle, or 200lb refrigerator that's counting on the cables to do their job while I'm going 80mph down the interstate. That .5 cents per day is nothing compared to causing a multiple vehicle pileup, or killing someone.

Thanks everybody for the input, going to get it checked at the dealership and will update what I hear back. Pictures to come tomorrow, new fake raptor grill comes in and I’ll do a before and after.
Good idea, just went and the tailgate does not appear to be in contact with any trim or anything other than the pivot points where it’s connected. Going to chalk this up as within tolerances I think.
Hey everyone,
just picked up my new ranger last night and had a chance to go over it in the daytime today. I noticed that when I have the tailgate down that one of the cables is slack while the other is taught. I am guessing this is not normal but this is my first truck and I’m not sure what...
