  1. Anyone installing CB/ Ham radio and/or NMO antenna mount on your new Ranger?

I am using a clip mount to the back passenger side of the bed rail with a Tram NMO mount dual band antenna and a QYT KT-8900D temporarily mounted between the 12V power ports on the front dash. Fits like a glove. I am a new ham and going for a budget setup while I figure out what I really...
  2. Finally a fix for the mushy break pedal

Attached is a link to a video on how to fix the mushy break pedal in about ten minutes with ForScan. It even took care of that little bump when you come to a complete stop. This was posted on the 2019+ Ford Ranger Owners Facebook page. I did it this morning and it works like a champ.
  3. Well the squirrels got me

Well the dealership has had my truck for three months and they finally found a wire harness after I called Ford Customer Care and they elevated it to emergency status. They have completed the repair and then tell me “oops we did see that some insulation needs replaced and it will be another week...
  4. Radio stuff

There are no real dedicated channels on GMRS/FRS everyone jus coordinates a channel at the trail head. Keep in mind the FRS radios are limited to .5 watts and with GMRS you can go up to 50watts on some channels. The license for GMRS is $70.00 right now but will soon go down to around $30.00...
  5. Snowmageddon in Texas

Most of the wind mills are down due to ice build up on the blades. Even worse when it warms up and then it falls off in sheets weighing a ton. Also the solar fields are down because they didn’t build heat trace into the system. Kind of hard to see the sun through 6-18” of snow and ice. How is...
  6. Radio stuff

Most people these days are switching to GMRS/FRS for off-roading. If you buy the family GMRS license you can run up to 50 watts, but you can talk to anyone in your group that only bought the bubble pack FRS radios from Walmart. There is also a growing number of repeaters that can extend your...
  7. Well the squirrels got me

Well the dealership finally got the part number issue sorted, but the wire harness is on back order and won’t be here till some time between the 25th of February and the 29th of March. So it may be up to two months that my truck will be dead in the water due to the furry rodent. Also just for...
  8. Well the squirrels got me

Well here is an update. Insurance is more than willing to take care of this repair, but the dealer has had my truck for a week and can’t give my insurance an estimate due to the part number on the harness not matching my VIN in fords system. They daily are emailing ford, but are not getting any...
  9. Well the squirrels got me

Well I’m using the same thing I did when they tried getting into the attic. Bobcat scent on a rag. Just have to refresh it so to speak every few weeks. I can get it at my local outdoor store.

  11. Well the squirrels got me

Well I was driving along and everything was fine, then the next time I used the turn signals I got the fast flash like a bulb was out. When I got home I checked and found I had no lights at all on the back end. So I pop the hood to check fuses and I find a dead squirrel under the coolant tank by...
  12. Anyone installing CB/ Ham radio and/or NMO antenna mount on your new Ranger?

Just wondering if anyone has tried to mount an antenna on the swing out fender toolbox set up. Seams like it would be an option for those that don’t put any kind bed cover on. Would be easy to run a ground strap from the mount down to a ground or the frame from there.
  13. Atturo Trail Blade M/T

I'm looking at the Atturo Trail Blade M/T in the 265/70R17. Is anyone running these, or have any experience with them?
  14. Rangers in SNOW

I was still on active duty when he was with the race team and could never time things to go help chase at any of the races. He took up to the race shop several times and got to meet Danny, Dan, Dave, and Dick the team owner. Always felt like I missed out on a great experience.
  15. Rangers in SNOW

Yes it is. Has been a rough holiday season for my wife and Julie. Just glad that he went quickly. Would have been hell on them if he hung on longer there at the end. It wasn’t pretty. Went down hill fast I. Just two weeks.
  16. Rangers in SNOW

  17. Rangers in SNOW

Oh they love it. They romp around act like kids. Lol. The have a shelter to get out of the weather at their choosing and we have a heater in the water to keep it from freezing. We get an inch or two maybe two or three times a year. It not unusual for us to have 70-80 degree temps this time of year.
