I would definitely make another one not sure it would ship well though.that is just too cool for school.........wish u were closer i would pay you to build me one
i have the drop in liner so the dimensions would be different, if i ever just happen to wander on down to tejas.............lolI would definitely make another one not sure it would ship well though.
For sure, it was a fair amount of trial and error to get it to lineup well enough that I could also place it and remove it without too much troublei have the drop in liner so the dimensions would be different, if i ever just happen to wander on down to tejas.............lol
Nice, easy to remove the extension when not carrying sheets but still don't want things sliding around.Finished my sheet goods rack extension from my board across the back. More scrap lumber from another project. Used the notch together system this time.

Nice and beefy, but way over kill for the amount of use I'd give it. Looking at something closer to Blue Streak's final design. More modular, main use would be to keep sand bags from sliding around in winter. Looking at adding swing boxes, so that needs to be a consideration too.Heres my sheet good hauling setup. Notched out the boards so that they "lock" into each other. The front "header" board has some clasp latches that latch onto the long board to keep things from sliding fore and aft. The length is a full 8 feet to fully support sheet goods. And 2x8s are perfect height for clearing the wheel humps so the sheet cant lay flat. Could probably easily build something short within the whole bed for a cooler or "compartments" for other things. I built it this way so it is extremely rigid when installed, but since there is no screws holding things together, I can easily disassemble it into the individual boards and store it in minimal space.

I used those on my front half. Do your self a favor, take the brackets off & clean up the sharp points.Used a 2x framing clip and bolt. Just needed a divider to keep stuff within reach.

2x6 will allow you enough hight to lay a 4x8 sheet flat. If you use the notch & lock system 2x4's for the rest makes it easy to put together & lighter. Obviously one board at a time. ?Anybody got any ideas for a lightweight version? Doesn’t need to be as strong as a 2x12.
This what I built for hauling 4x8 sheets. I wanted to still be able to haul dimensional lumber underneath. The second crosspiece could also be used for your divider.Anybody got any ideas for a lightweight version? Doesn’t need to be as strong as a 2x12.
