Just wondering when/if Ford will ever update the map on my 2019 Lariat. It’s NA 1 19.

That's the bad thing about factory navigation. The maps are out dated the second they are released. Do they still charge for map updates?

Have you tried using car play or Android auto? Maps are always up to date and it's free.

The recent update to 119 is free if you download the 12GB file and follow a few steps to setup the USB stick for updating; if you want a stick mailed to you with everything preloaded, it's $40.

Google maps through Android Auto is definitely more accurate (including/especially for traffic info), but the built-in maps are fine 95% of the time and it's convenient to have them there all the time for casual viewing :)

That's what I use too. There are so many new developments going up here the factory one is useless. I just use my iPhone 90% of the time unless we're going to a business or residence that I know is a few years old.

I was trying to find a customers house a few weeks ago and the factory Nav said "You have arrived at your destination " and it was a pile of dirt!

Agreed that the built-in maps are good for the vast majority of navigation needs. I was surprised by what's in there. I was way out in rural Texas just last week and the NA119 maps had the updated CR roads I was on, but Goggle Maps didn't have them yet when I switched over to it.

Everyone always knocks the factory GPS/Navigation/Maps. Personally, I never have any issue with it and love using it.
