I guess that means I won’t be upgrading since you have the same build and equip group. What is your vehicle build date? Mine is 6/2019.
Mines 9/19

Just updated to 3.4.43 no problems. Good luck all!!!
Once it restarts, do I pull out the usb? It seems like it automatically starts updating again

I am not a forscan user as I am not comfortable messing around with vehicle settings. Has Ford really not identified which 2019 Ranger configurations or build dates will lose climate controls upgrading from Sync 3 to Sync 3.4.43? I have a 2019 XLT 4x4 Supercab (equip group 302A) and no Navigation. I really want to upgrade, but I do not have time to deal with Ford chat and/or the dealer if I were to encounter this issue.
Agree completely....there has to be a fixable common denominator, but it would require Ford to acknowledge the problem first, then figure it out. To my knowledge, they have not and are not doing either.

See this post for a way to determine if you’ll have the problem prior to updating. Beyond that, all I can say is all information on the problem has been reported for investigation / a fix. Unfortunately, that’s about as far as my assistance on that can go. I’d guess there will be some SSM to dealers on it eventually that may have more information.

Did you pull out usb after first reset ?
For me, I missed the first pull because it was very brief and then it began the process over again, which, in itself a fail of the update process, but I pulled it after the second one. Honestly, I don't think it would have mattered. I feel safe in saying this is a fail of proper testing before the release of the update to the public. Sadly it happens all the time in the computing world. Poor QC, but happens.

That would be it exactly for me. AFAIK, just CC took a dump. Thanks for trying...hoping for the best.

I tried the linked site in that post - https://www.motorcraftservice.com/asbuilt and get an error. Is that site valid anymore?

Same with me. I pulled after the 2nd reset.. you think that’s the issue? I don’t see how that would make the problem

It was working earlier today, maybe down at the moment?

I doubt that's the reason....just a coincidence, but on them regardless. What reliable software wouldn't say....you've already done this?

I pulled on the first reset. That is not the issue. The update itself is. I love the new interface and I can deal with the camera though I am not sure why that changed, but the climate control is NOT acceptable. Ford needs to get us a fix we can perform without going to the damn dealer.

After making the change with Forscan I had to reset APIM for the change to take effect. I only changed the single bit 8 to a 0 at address 7D0-04-01 xxxx xx8x to 7D0-04-01 xxxx xx0x

Forscan is not the friendliest tool IMO. There is a bit of familiarization you need to attain first. Not sure I would recommend it to someone with two left software hands or a computer novice.

This is a perfect case for OTA to address. Ford has the database, knows which vehicles are impacted and could send down the single bit fix without too much of a challenge.

Mine also went to a constant seek and restart after the third boot. I let it run multiple times and finally pulled the USB after ( third boot) recognizing the pattern. I had updated prior with cyanlabs bit don't think that was a factor.
