Just updated to Sync 3.4 on my Ranger 2019

This sucks. I have no way to alter the climate control output (i.e. floor, dash, etc.). Actually most of my functionality is gone since I have auto climate. I figured that the issues that people were having was due to them not using the official update process and I'd wait until mine was available from Ford, and here we are with it broken. Hope they fix it. I didn't even have an XML file to download onto the site to update their records. Nobody on chat to ask about issues, etc. Hopefully they are aware of the issue. Wish I could roll back now...

Yep, I wish I could rollback also. Great, the USB download showed up today.....sucks that it broke climate controls and not a peep from Ford. I haven't looked at the rear camera. Grrrr...I guess I will do that now, too.

FWIW, rear camera doesn't appear to have been affected on my 2019.

I was tempted, but have not done it. All my saves in navigator are gone anyway, gee, what could go wrong? I would probably get a new screen that just says ON and OFF.

Car Play does work after the update on mine. So far, for me, looks like Climate is the only thing FUBAR'd.

Some subset has a bit set in the as built for Climate Off. There was a bug in v3.3 that it ignored this. Now that v3.4 is reading it correctly, the screen is being removed though voice commands remain (controlled via a different bit for Auto climate type). The only way to know if you'll be impacted is to check your as built data for the specific byte. If it's 0x80 you'll lose the Climate UI, if it's 0x00 you'll keep it.

Has Ford really not identified which 2019 Ranger configurations or build dates will lose climate controls upgrading from Sync 3 to Sync 3.4.43? I have a 2019 XLT 4x4 Supercab (equip group 302A) and no Navigation. I really want to upgrade, but I do not have time to deal with Ford chat and/or the dealer if I were to encounter this issue.

I have the same. I had to reindex the playlist on my usb and I lost the climate option on the screen.

I guess that means I won’t be upgrading since you have the same build and equip group. What is your vehicle build date? Mine is 6/2019.
