Best price on a Loaded Lariat FX4 CrewCab

Long story short I am waiting for the title for F150 to get here in the mail & for the local Covid-19 Shut down to end then plan to buy a new Ranger. I wont be financing so it will be cash upfront & my trade in. What I am looking for is what have people been getting as the best price. The dealership has the truck I want in stock for 38,488 as their "final price" that includes the ford financing discount. Realistically what can I expect to talk them down to.

If it's a 2019 you can probably get 7k off MSRP. I know of one dealership around me is about that range.

Unfortunately no there are 2 of them & both 2020 models. There are lots of 2019's still available, but none in the color/features I want.

I kinda hate this BS with the bumpers being a different color & I strongly prefer the 17" wheels. Also Chrome is a no go for me. So that kinda narrows it down to a Magnetic color with the sport package or an elusive lariat with no sport or black appearance package (scouring the website's for every dealership within 6 hours I haven't seen a single one).

$38k + whatever mfg rebates is available seems about right. Don't think you will find much lower than that.

Confused here, are you financing the truck or not? If not, then I can't see why you even mentioning financing discount a factor at all.

Be very careful as to what they offer you for your trade, hopefully you've researched it's book value by now.

By all means, do NOT tell them you intend to pay cash for the vehicle, google the subject and you'll see why.

The dealer discount of $4,427 looks attractive, but does the truck have any added packages/options added at the local level? Things such as nitrogen filled tires, paint sealant and the like? These are tremendous cash cows for the dealer because of the ridiculously high markup on them.
The fine print states " Only equipment basic to each model is listed. Call or email for complete, specific vehicle", which leads me to believe that the truck may have additional items added to it.
These items would be listed on a dealer placed MSRP addendum (phoney Monreoney) sticker near the factory window sticker.
Additionally, you don't qualify for the bonus cash discount of 1.5K, to be eligible for this the truck must be financed through Ford credit.
Get back to us after you've researched if any packages/options were added at the local level.

For the Ford Credit incentive, unless things have changed, you can finance it thru Ford Credit and pay it off immediately. I had a finance guy tell me to do that to get the extra $500. At that time, there was no requirement to keep the loan for any amount of time. Something to look into.

Dealer told me to do the same thing. Take the savings, then pay it off right away.

I've done the same thing. Financed and then paid off.

Where is the benefit of paying off a 0% interest loan early? Wouldn't it be better to leave that money your interest earning account for 5 years?
