Unfortunately this is one reason why we now have HOAs. ?‍♂

When I was working (sub contracting) for a fire & water restoration company back east we saw many houses where the insides would look similar to this. Well, minus the car of course but some people live like total slobs. On one house the mail carrier told us the house (before the fire) was so bad inside there was a path from the front door throughout the house between all the old newspapers, mail and boxes.

Another one was so bad they had over 100 birds in there. I went there to do the estimate and as soon as they opened the door the place smelled awful.? ? First and only house I turned around and walked out of a job in 42 years. Luckily I knew the owner of the company well and told him no way we were going in there. I found out later he was never going to have me do it and just wanted to see my reaction. lol He had a huge company and had 2-3 subs from every trade and always intended on having one of the other companies do it. They all had a good laugh at it and I never heard the end of that one. :giggle:

The Jeff Foxworthy show used to have a "redneck yard of the week" segment an they looked like this. One had a big dog on a chain standing by the pile. Jeff said "when you have a lot of nice stuff to need a dog to guard it"

So cool. Probably should be a drop hitch though might be too far off ground.
And a safety chain! I don't think a back up beeper would be sufficient, ya gotta have a Fog horn! Beeeeeeooooooohhhh

Wow that one takes the cake!

I went on several runs at homes with hoarders, had to turn sideways to squeeze in between rooms and hallway and still snagged my duty belt on stuff.

Went with the Health department and Animal control to seize some malnourished sick dogs as well as serve a condemnation notice, puppy mill took 30+ small dogs out, feces and pee everywhere, the subfloor was 3/4" osb and it was so saturated that it was sagging between the floor joists. Had to wear a face mask smeared with Vicks vapor rub on it just to keep from gagging. Eyes still burned though. Dang this gave me flash backs I long since locked away in my brain...??

I hate people who cannot respect life like that. They will get their just rewards. Like people who can't see fit to keep their pet from roaming freely on the roadways.

Or someone driving down the highway at 70 with a dog jumping around the bed truck.

Funny how things change. I grew up riding in the bed of a 1954 Ford Pickup with 4 siblings. there just wasn't enough room on that bench seat. And no seat belts either!
