I thought this was worthy for this thread. Duke messaged me and was showing my how he painted some new doors at his cabin. Remember now he's a retired carpenter/contractor and has saw horses available.

Psst...someone please check on him once in a while. They say you can get dementia after you retire from not using your mind often. @LaBalbe you're the closest so it's your job.

Sorry Duke @DukeCanBuildit but it was just to darn funny!!?

For the record, Dave’s right, I do have access to saw horses - there’s a metal one supporting a door in the left of that frame - a cheap one at that, but functional for most needs at the cottage. except when you’re painting multiple doors. And, yes, I might need checking in on from time to time. ?

@AzScorpion shamed me into picking up my job site saw horses while I was in the city yesterday. ? I have about 400’ of baseboard, door casing and window trim to paint before it’s installed - these might be overkill. ?

They are definitely the best saw horses I’ve ever used (even better than team yellow’s version) but if I need a quick, redneck hillbilly hack when I’m at the cottage, we have plenty of farm table chairs around for that.

Don't get paint on the good ones . No pics and it didn't happen.

That's what drop cloths are for. When we'd borrow them from carpenters on the job I'd throw one of my smaller drops over them so we wouldn't get paint all over them. That also helps the back side of the door (or whatever you're working on) not get scuffed/scratched too.

Duke should've also had a drop on that floor too! ?

I like your supervisor...Mr Owl is watching you! ??
Supervisor says it’s lunchtime.
230’ painted, 130’ to go. Then a second coat.
