After searching threads , I couldn’t find the answer I was looking for (since there’s always that a hole to complain)..

I recently upgraded my license plate bulb lights to LED without any error dash warnings , so I was wondering if I can do the same to the headlight bulbs (H11) without triggering an error code. Does anyone know which bulbs will , if any ?

Thanks!

I’ve seen this thread. Again .. My question is regarding dash error codes which is not discussed in that thread . Thanks anyway .
Changing headlight bulbs doesnt throw any dash errors.

I installed LED high beams, low beams, fog lights, and swicthback turn signals.
I DO get a code for the high beams and low beams.
Doesn't show anything on dash but there is a code found when i use forscan

What code are you getting? Ive got lows and fogs swapped and the only errors in forscan is related to changing tire sizes.

Thats nuts, I don't have any of those errors. What bulbs are you using? Did you make some other changes or something in forscan? The only changes I made for the lights were setting parking lights as DRL's.

Using the JDM's that were talked about in that thread.
I made my turn signals and parking lights as DRL.
I have also changed tire size and did not get a code.
I also turned off auto start stop but not sure why that would cause those codes.

Thats weird. I used those JDM's for a period and never got those codes. Ive got the same mods as you and don't have any of that. I'd ask if any of the other guys in that thread are seeing what you're seeing.

Wait, aren't you using resistors? I wonder if thats why you're getting those errors.

Actually didn't put on the resistors. Used the for scan mod to turn off hyperlink for the turn signals. But that reminds me that the RTR grille I have has LED drivers.

I currently run the JDM LEDs. I'll need to re up my license to hook FORscan up and see if I have any errors.
