Hi all! I am going to purchase the wolfbox dashcam here soon. My question is has anyone figured out how to hard mount this mirror? I know it comes with rubber straps but I would like to hard mount it so it replaces my mirror. Any tips much appreciated!

I used this adaptor mount for my F150. Don't know if it will work on the Ranger but here is the link to the adaptor. I'll have to look at my Ranger to see if the install is the same and can accommodate this install. Matter of fact I need to put a Wolfbox in my Ranger.

From what I could gather, No. The ranger isn't compatible and WolfBox told me over the phone there is no way they know of to hard mount it. Hence, this post.

I saw your post actually! I have NO idea how you were able to do that.

Pull the stock mirror and pull the front cover off. There are some metal rings that you need to cut with a dremel. This is what is non-reversible. Once you get that off, you'll be left with the ball mount. I used the mount kit from Wolfbox to attach to the ball mount. I did have to use a rubber strip to take up a little slack, but its been really solid.

Altenatively, you can go here and choose 3b (make sure you research the exact part number).

Edit: looks like #33 is better.

Wow! Ok sounds good I will try the #33 option first before making permanent changes to the mirror. What kind of rubber strip did you use?
