Ok, here goes a weird one. Not really worried about it, but would love some input from the group if you have any answers.
BTW, searched the forum and only found one similar, but old thread. And while it was pretty humorous it contained zero answers.
Ok, on the road for work this week. Yesterday preparing to leave the hotel and go to my work location, I open the rear door, driver side and throw my computer bag in the back seat. Truck is not running and has been sitting all night. I get in, start it and as I pull out I slam on the brakes. The rear driver side window is now fully open! What?!?! I sit there a few seconds in total confusion, “did someone break in?” Etc., but no. That window was up when I opened the door to throw my bag in the back. I closed the window and really didn’t think anymore about it.
This morning, I leave at O-dark:30 for my drive home. About 3 hours into the drive I pass a drive through coffee joint so I swing in and grab a fresh cup. Pull around back, park, leave engine running, driver door open, while I throw out remnants of coffee #1 and pour coffee #2 into my travel mug. Get back in the truck… and the drivers window is fully open.
Seriously?
So there you have it folks. Truck has run perfectly this week. Half way back home now. Posting this inquiry while I eat lunch. Got another 250-ish miles to go. (And looking forward to it.
) But what the heck is up with this window thing?!?!?!?
Update 10/20/25:
followed Airline Techs trouble shooting instructions this past weekend. (Thanks again AT) could not duplicate the issue. Additionally, have had zero issues since the two episodes mentioned above. So at this point I’m just going to ignore it. Hopefully it’s in the history books.
