White letters in or out?

This 46 year old Gen Xer thinks you got the age wrong. The rest is correct though. White letters out is Boomer stuff. Goes with chrome bumpers and Yosemite Sam mudflaps.

True. But I stopped worrying about paint chips about 2 months after I bought my first brand new vehicle.

For me it depends on the vehicle. White lettering came into vogue in the mid 60's thru mid 70's. I bought some Firestones for my '63 Plymouth and turned the lettering in. I regretted doing that soon after because it looked worse with the lettering visible underneath the car.
Pickups in general wear white lettering well, every Ranger with them forum-wide look nice with them, IMO. They help break up the expanse of body work. Outline white lettering works really well, too.

I agree...I have been black out for decades...fresh new change to go to white out with the lettering!

I'm on my second set of KO2s and I've always mounted them white out.This new set seems to have a bit smaller lettering (or so it appears to me) and I've got to say they really look lot better

If you've ever worn white patent leather shoes, the letters face out.
If you've NEVER worn white patent leather shoes, the letters face in.
