Two Italian Greyhounds
ok, so Greyhounds are large dogs
Whippets look the same, but are medium sized dogs
And Italians look like full size Greyhounds, but only get 8-14 pounds,

Waking Tito up from 5 months of brumation (like hibernation). Nice 92°F soaking bath.... Then later today....a Tortoise Bake in the sun on the patio followed by a very Sloooooooow walk across the patio. About a Week of soaks and such to wake him up... This also hydrates him as he can drink water through his Butt.....

Out hiking last weekend when the trails were still kind of covered in snow.

Spent almost all weekend outside on the deck and in the yard with the 50-60F temps and sun. Us humans even broke out the grill for dinner Saturday! haha And yes, I put their beds out there for them. I know they're spoiled big time. haha

She just absolutely loves her squeaky ball. Even though none of their toys are supposed to be outside yet, since it may/probably will still snow again and I don't want to loose them.

Poor Isa, 6 months old, she wore herself out playing.
Turn up your volume.

Our puppy Luna just figured out how to stick her snout into the water bowl and blow bubbles. Funniest thing I ever saw. She’s amazed by her new found skills! ? I try to get a video of it.

That's awesome! Copper did that once last summer going after a rubber ball that sank in a baby pool.

Hi TB,

Normally he is in his burrow in our back courtyard which is under a red yucca plant but this year he decided to brumate in the corner of the great room under a dining chair. He parked his shell in the corner and went to sleep about Mid October. So Mid March we started the warming up process as it is reported that the Sonoran Desert Tortoise should not brumate fro more than 5 months as they do loose some weight. They stop eating, peeing and pooping and are stationary. They do wake up and shift around a slight bit but pretty much stay put...only Tito knows why he chose to be in the house. He is a very contented tortoise and enjoys being around us, particularly my wife where he sleeps with his shell against her feet. During meal prep for dinner he will plop his shell on the floor next to the dishwasher and with neck extended, just watch us. He shows affection by sticking his nose on our ankles. He is fascinated by women's painted toes...he is not the only tortoise we know that does this. Very smart reptile. Recognized people. Clever, figures things out like how to open our screen door to our sliding glass patio door and let himself into the house. We know one tortoise that can open the fridge door...pull open the veggie crisper and remove the veggies... Quite a unique pet!

Here is a picture of Tito during this years brumation...

Give you an idea of his size, here is a pix of me treating him to a slice of strawberry...his favorite treat.

Dog photos taken today. The black dog Gromit who is quite arthritic, so her mileage is very limited. She once followed us for 30 miles while MBing in the chequamegon forest. No more.

Sure sign of spring, the rhubarb is poking out. More photos while out today. Lowest photo is bear tracks.
