What is this bracket in the engine for?

My app still shows the fuel gauge.

In another thread, For Pass Update, some no longer have the fuel gauge after the update, others including myself still have it

The bracket is for mounting a mousetrap on it...

It’s for the glow plug relay. Will post a pic shortly of my euro diesel truck with said relay attached.

Edit 2: it’s not the same bracket upon closer inspection but similar.

It is where you mount your Police Horn.

what seems odd is the hardware being in place on some in the bracket lol... like something was present or expected to be during assembly.

I was under the hood of my 2023 Ranger Lariat tremor, checking out the fuse box for the six auxiliary switches. I see this bracket with two bolts attached that don't actually hold anything. Is this supposed to have something attached? Or is this a convenience for adding an aftermarket part?

Yeah, right, like their really gonna know !!!!
If they can't "plug it in" so the truck will tell them what it's for, then I can't imagine anyone would know its purpose !!!
