Not sure if this is a guy thing, a girl thing, or a couples thing, but the wife and I usually come up with names for our vehicles, for example, calling our Honda Civic Wagon "the Little C" and its replacement, a Honda CRV, "the Big C," etc. I expect that, at some point, we will come up with a name for our present ride, a Ranger Lariat, but until then, "the truck," or "the Ranger" will have to do....

Maybe this is just a "girl" thing, but my wife has always named her vehicles through the years. Lucy, for her Buick Lucerne. Ruby, for her red Lincoln MKX. And now Pearl, for her Lincoln Nautilus. My Ranger is the first vehicle that she succeeded in talking me into naming. Well, since it is a Ranger, and I live in Texas, AND I am a Texas Rangers fan (both baseball and law enforcement), I have nicknamed my Ranger "Tex". I know, that is kind of corny, but then again, so is naming a vehicle. Am I the only one with a name for my Ranger?
Uh, Ranger?

Naming vehicles makes no sense

Kemosabe.

Tonto's name for the Lone Ranger was Kemosabe, which meant "Faithful Friend".

Big Blue, Like my login. Started out as "Babe", for the blue ox, but the wife started calling it "Big Blue" so it got changed. My old Ranger was "Black Beauty" because it was black of course.

My former Ranger was the Gutless Wonder, a name it earned on the I-90 hill at Vantage, WA. I loved that truck, but the little 2.3 L engine was a little short on power.

No such power problem with the new Ranger. According to the Fordpass app, this one is "Gutsy." Doesn't have much ring to it, but it certainly distinguishes it from its predecessor.

Mine is sapphire, passed down the line from my last car that was basically the same color lol
I think Sapphire would have been a more fitting color name for that pretty blue!
