PE, Health for 35 years and I got to add Sports Medicine the last three. PE used to be the best until kids didn't want to do anything or follow the rules of the game. Instead of the admin making the students accountable we had to dumb down a very well organized curriculum to just "keep them moving." 🙄 PE became a punishment for the teachers and a dumping ground for the counselors. Gee I wonder why there are behavior issues???? 🤔 I loved it in the old days when kids were competitive and got into the games. We had almost zero problems and we could actually teach and test skills learned in class. The last ten or more years it was "throw out the ball," which made us all want to 🤮. Oh, well. Not my monkey, not my circus anymore!! Now I have to carry a gun to work! We don't get hardly any problems at the gun range!!😂
We had to learn the rules of each of the sports we would play in PE. Overall, we were graded on skill, knowledge of the rules, and teamwork. Real, measurable stuff - afterall, it was still school, right?

That's what we USED to do. Skills the first week or few days of the unit along with a worksheet and study guide over history, rules and strategies of the game. By the second week we had a round robin tournament and a test over the worksheet. Third week started with skills tests and then finished with a championship tournament/bracket. Bragging rights were on the line and we had.... FUN!!😲 Kids won't do that anymore. At least not enough to run the class that way. I know I sound disgruntled but it's more sad that today's kids are missing out on the satisfaction of bettering themselves and meeting a challenge. Plus, I missed the fun of it all and being able to teach and coach them in class.

During the winter we played indoor hockey and it was only supposed to be for a couple weeks then on to something else. Our Senior year the PE teacher knew most of us were on the Varsity hockey team and let us play pretty much all winter long which was a blast.

Then came dodgeball. That's where you found out who wasn't liked. lol

I drove down to Mexico this morning so we could get our teeth cleaned and Annie had a consultation for some other work to get done. I'm glad we were able to find another great dentist here and their prices are just as good as the last one we had. They're just as (if not more) high tech than any dentist I've been to in the States. They do a full ultrasonic cleaning, some kind of rinse that shows if you have any plaque on your teeth and then finish with a polish all for $60.00. It's so nice now living only 40 minutes from the border where before it was 2.5 hours and that made for a very long day. Now we can leave at 8:30am and be home before lunch.

We park on the US side and walk over. It's $10.00 to park and the dentist has a lot there and they validate your ticket back $4.00.

I love seeing our Border Patrol officers with the checkpoints throughout our state! :captain:

Begining of april i fell, broke 3 ribs, bruised hip, and femur, had a huge huge concussion. Still dealing with the affects now. Thank goodness school was coming to an end for me, but have not been working since. Just started this week at a limited capacity because of my head still.
So with that......i asked does drive mode really matter? I know, its a 6g thing, but i spent 3 months gathering all this data and want to share with the world. 😆 🤣
I did not test tow or slippery, because only use them for what they say. Tow, and slippery. Here is the data i got. I am a sport mode type of person personally.
So this is what i did with my ranger as of late

Wow, that's a heck a fall Eli. Hope you're doing better and hope you get well soon.

I bet now you're so glad you have a damper (Strut Assist ) because, well, that cures everything! 🤣🤓

Heck yeah! Maybe thats why i broke all the bones! Not enough muscle to defend against the fall, i did not tell the dr i had a taigate strut assist. Or his finding may have been

Damper atrophy!

Holy Crap, Eli - that’s a lot of damage. Did you fall from an airplane? ;)

Seriously, I hope you mend well. Do everything the doctors and therapists tell you to do - absolutely everything.

A few times, it looks like you were doing a lot of city driving or maybe hoonin’ but there is some consistency for each category, overall. I expected a 4x2 to have higher mpg numbers, similar to Dave’s. You indicated you like Sport mode - would you characterize your driving style as “spirited” or is it just hilly in your part of Texas?

Well, I ended up trading in my 2023 Ranger Lariat today. It was a good truck, but it was time for an upgrade! It pulled my small travel trailer good, but since I'm going to BC next year, I wanted something with a bit more power. I had to go with what would fit in my parkade as it has a 6.25' max height and the one I went with just fits like the 2023. I just have to get a stubby antenna.

I bought a 2026 Ford Ranger Lariat 2.7L V6. No FX4, no sport pkg, just the normal Lariat. The options the truck came with our the black appearance pkg, advanced towing pkg & tech pkg, splash guards, floor liners tray style, block heater, box side step, convenience pkg. Got it in Desert Sand exterior colour. Even though it is the same truck, it is so much nicer!

Fell off a ladder pulling some shade tarp on the roof of a greenhouse. I gear very little so....i always go all in on stuff. Well, all in on accidents too. Held nothing back. Lol. Already jumped out a lot of planes and helicopters. Where i broke my foot once. Actually broke 2 metatarsals.
I thought a 4x2 would have better mpg too. About 80 interstate miles on each mode, and about 120 interstate on normal mode. Yeah, i tend to drive a little spirited, safely spirited, at the speed limit. I live in south texas, and the biggest hills here are the levees. Lol. Flat as can be here. And sport has better shift points imo.

Very nice colour Johnathan.
Thanks, I really like it as well. Even though blue is my favourite colour, I think the Desert Sand and the black works really well together and think I like it better on this truck!
