She robbed the cradle. lol I still have 3 years and 6 weeks to go 'till 65 but darn they go fast!

My wife robbed the cradle too. But, only by a day. Worked out well when I retired. We both got Medicare at the same time. Never gave it a thought when we married 49 years ago. Does make remembering the birth days easier.

On another note. Went out and bought what I needed for my 45K oil change and tire rotation. Seems like my oil life monitor has learned I do them at 5K intervals. It's being obnoxious every time I start the truck! Now it just needs to stop raining so I can get it done.

Congratulations on 49 years, that's a huge accomplishment today! Even though we're not married it's been 21 years for us. As far as remembering her birthday that's never an issue as she reminds me weeks before it.lol

Six more months till 65 can not wait to get the Medicare for $200 per month. Wife has had it for last couple years and way better then the private insurance I pay and arm and leg for.

We’re born into a Medicare system here but without a monthly premium or deductible. So, it’s free…….and we have the income taxes to prove it.

Dental care for folks 65+ is a relatively new thing we have now. It’s available if there isn’t a private insurance plan in place through employment, spouse, union, retirement benefits, etc. Because it’s new, it’s going through a few growing pains but it should be great after it’s matured a bit.

I took 640 pounds of scrap lumber to the dump today. Crossed the scales at 5040 pounds (with me out of the truck paying he bill) and checked on line that my 21 FX4 Lariat weighs 4400 pounds.

Mowed the yard and took the clippings to the town's grass dump.
Then I changed the oil.

Out: Valvoline R&P, Mobil 1 M1-209A filter.
In: Same.
For only the second time ever I didn't spill any oil on the street taking the filter off. Finally got the drain pan in the right spot.

Went up to Phoenix today to take Annie to her favorite Mexican restaurant for her (late) birthday dinner. While up there she got her hair done from the lady she use to use and likes the way she does her hair and I went to Winco and stocked up on some bulk goods. Yeah, I drove 335 for a haircut and dinner but she's happy and so am I as it's really the only time I get to put miles on my truck since retiring.

Manuel's still makes great Chimmys!

For some reason I always get great gas mileage (cruise set at 75) going up and back that the miles to E this time were at 466. I still have to input the receipt for the mpg but the dash was reading 27.0.

That's the best mpg and MTE I've ever got. There was a small tail wind going up and no wind coming back which must have helped.

Or maybe the extra gas from the Chimmy helped with the ride back.
