Getting my Ranger back into its daily routine after putting over 2600 miles on her over a week. Two of my brothers and I drove from Dallas to the U.P. straight through in 18 hours . Spent a week hunting and visiting relatives....then a straight through drive home (next year I think I will be flying).

Nothing, letting it sit a few days. Drove it last weekend, thought the interior lights cut off quicker than normal & then noticed the ASS had stopped working. Drove it 80 some miles on Wednesday, wife drove it Thursday and said everything worked as normal. Letting it sit until Tuesday & take it to have suspected weak battery checked. 3 years old, just under 21K miles, warranty ended 3 weeks ago

So I haver started a new desktop Build. My current one is ten years old and won’t run windows 11. I have been studying up on the latest tech. Got down to the case and graphics card and really wanted to see / handle the cases at least. So drove down in the Ranger. Left round rock with half a tank and headed to the MicroCenter store in Houston. Got down there and had 36 miles to empty. Went in and came out poorer and headed to Bucc’ees to fill up. Got there with 16 miles to empty. 18 gal tank took 17.129 gallons. Averaged 22+ on the way back. Was pretty happy with that. I have let the fuel efficiency screen alone and it shows over the 8800 miles I have put on the truck I have averaged 19.6mpg. Not as good as I hoped but decent enough considering the lead sole on my shoe

Me and the missus took a drive to the Hale Creek Rec Site at Harrison Lake, BC. Even driving the "easy" way in gave me an opportunity to use the rear locker. Also, a rare calm day on the water.

What was the vibe like there? Have you had an odd experience there before?

Took the boat to the welder today.
Boy what a difference towing it when its stripped down. Definitely not enough tongue weight. Glad I was on city streets and the shop was only 20 minutes away.

Never noticed this before when towing. Looks like the blind spot monitoring was off. Didn't have time to investigate as I needed to get to the shop before it closed.
I probably hit a button of something and disabled it.

Got the Ranger back home after its light workout and we went and filled up the Edge and some gas cans.

Timing wasn't perfect as I left 5 gallons of cheap gas behind but the fuel perks were expiring tomorrow. :like:

Two haiku's and a video for Soupie!

Soupie roars to life
Hauling away our junk piles
Dump runs bring delight

With every dump run
Soupie's engine sings a song
Carrying our trash

I used PCPartPicker, years ago, to build a really nice machine.

Not sure if it still works the same but you go through each component and it verifies if it works with the others. Then you can look at pricing trends and set alerts. Many things, like Corsair cases, go on sale like a few day every month. The alert can be set with a price range.

It also showed me who had rebates and gift cards.

I did take a month for me to get what I wanted but I got $600 in gift cards! I did this like 10 years ago and it still loads fully up in 20 seconds (LOL, I have 6 fans on the thing and soundproofing in the case).

To top it off, I know nothing about computers but this gave me the confidence to build my own.

Extra hooray for Buc-ee's!!!

Nice work! Maybe @NotBudule can make a song out of the haiku.

Thanks. It should be much nicer than it was when we got it 25+ yrs ago. Hoping to have it back on the water in the summer but we'll see how it goes.

I'd love to take the credit for the haikus but it's the very first time I've ever used AI to do anything. And like what the web is, I did a google search for AI haiku and voila!

I'd love a song, like the Soupie's Ballad! =D
