Installed a glow-in-the-dark ignition switch from Dean. Perfect fit!
If it only glows in the dark....how do you find it during daylight ??? :giggle:

Joke was on me though. Despite looking at gas prices on Waze, I drove by a place a mile later that had 87 for $4.22/gallon.
Just filled up after yesterday's road trip. Luckily wife didn't see the 42 miles to empty warning

16.933 gal
5.149
$87.19

Filled it up with “cheap” gas. Jealous much?

Gas here in Ontario is $2.35 to $2.50 per litre (93) at 3.78 litres per U.S. gallon. With exchange rate figured in, that’s $6.85 to $7.35 USD per U.S. gallon.

So, yeah, I’m a bit jelly. Still driving my truck in S mode, but jelly.

Went into to town to wash some of the bugs off. Gave the truck a good wash too, then headed into town to check out the park - there were rumours of a Classic Car Drive-in this weekend but no such luck. I did see a nice, shiny black 2-door Bronco, a very dirty brownish (?) 4-door Bronco, and a Magnetic grey Maverick.

A short while later, I found this AWD Maverick parked behind me on the main drag.

It must have been Maverick day today Duke. We had to stop at Walmart and get a few things and this was parked next to me when I came out. They're not all that bad but there's no way I'd get rid of my Ranger for one.

Notice the disgusting foot prints on the passenger side windshield. I don't know why but this has always grossed me out. :puke:

All that room, and that small of a truck, and he still can't park for squat.
Shame.

This truck has its place and purpose. It’s not that much smaller than the ‘01 Ranger I traded for my ‘19 but it’s much lower than my old 4x4 and I really like the size and height of the 5g. I was quite surprised at the difference in size when I saw it behind my truck this afternoon - big difference. But, yeah, it’s not for me either.

Do you ever stop at yard/garage sales just to buy stuff to bring to the dump?

The easy, no mess storage of retractable straps is brilliant. I'm never short on straps, and really don't need more, but you have planted a seed and I know it's only a matter of time before I can't help but buy some. Nice find.
Interesting concept, maybe I could swoop in at the end of a yard sale and bring all the leftover items to the dump? Kind of like a super hero, a sad one, but hero nonetheless! =)

Those straps are nice. I watched a Project Farm video on straps and then found this one. It's not as good as some of the ones in his video and it's only a one inch with 1,700 pound strength (supposedly, but I'd be worried if I had that on them).

The convenience of self-retracting and the retaining clips made it less hassle for a simple tie down for a short distance. I'd trust it more if using a few of them (but I tend to over do it).

I try to never be in a hurry and plan ahead for the dump.

Oh, not rushin'! I see what you did there. =)

I just switched over from open rectangular totes for recycling to a 65-gallon wheeled can to make it easier for Public Works and their fancy new lift-em up truck. And that ginormous box would never fit and the effects of this forum on my already low self-control does mean lots of Ranger stuff in boxes ... I have a problem.

That's what I was gonna order - the Cyber Orange Maverick! But I was one day too late to get the tow package and that turned out to be the best thing ever because now I have an awesome Race Red Ranger named Soupie! =D

It sure beats tangled straps. I have about six or seven sets and I suffered from that forever until I got smart and started folding my straps in half, then again, then again, then I tie them in a single knot and stow them in a small tool box. I may need to get four of these just to have them.

It actually looked good in the Cyber Orange which was the first time seeing that color on a Maverick.

IDK David you might have made a mistake getting Soupie. See if you had bought the Maverick the bed would've been much smaller and you would've been able to make even more dump runs with it. ??
