A good tribute band can be a lot of fun. Itās great that the casino has them for free. Were you at Desert Diamond? I was there on business a gazillion years ago. Before I headed across the state to the casinos in Yuma, I went for a mountain bike ride in the Tucson Mountain Park. Like most places in Arizona, that area is gorgeous. I can see why you settled there. Great hiking.Another date night at the casino and we had dinner and some drinks then saw the Fleetwood Mac Tribute band. They were really good and the lady who was doing Stevie Nicks sounded awesome which is hard to do because Stevie has a very distinctive voice. She played the part well changing moving just like Stevie Nicks but not overdoing it. The rest of the band was also really good but the guitarist (to the right playing Lindsey Buckingham) really killed it and was a really great guitarist. They also told a lot of history about the band and its members and how they all got divorced from each other right at the start and still continued on which must have been tough. Itās great that theyāre free and weāve got to see some good bands along with a few bad ones but itās still a fun night out.
I didnāt mean to be short with you @DukeCanBuildit when you texted me but I was already getting nudged (more like elbowed in the ribs) from Annie for checking the 3rd period score of the Habs game on my phone. lol I got to see the first two periods before we had to leave and at least saw Coufields 50th goal (and the fights) and was watching Stafkovskys 30th as the show was starting.
It was summer so it was HOT. The āSnakes Are Outā signs were posted so I was watching for them. Didnāt see any snakes but I did see a fat little Gila monster. Well, not that little but little for something called a āmonsterā. Still, something you definitely want to avoid, for sure.
The ending to that Habs game was pretty exciting. With them trying to hang on for a win with just that one goal, I can see why you were getting in trouble over checking your phone.

and one of my neighbors had a Gila monster (yeah, most are pretty small but they can get big like a large Iguana) on her back patio a couple years ago. She just called another neighbor who came over with a grabber stick and put it in a bucket and brought it back out to the desert.
Way back when there was Chief J Strongbow and Ivan Putski wrestling and even saw a roller derby (ok maybe a couple of those too) there.
