Drove to Costco for cheap gas and a new grill. Dang these Webers have gotten expensive and heavy. Was 3.879 today minus the 7% cashback. Summer gas finally.

Do you know a secret how do you get 7% cash back? With the Citi card you get 5%. Are you adding the 2% for Executive membership, if so that does not apply to gas purchases.

Another date night at the casino and we had dinner and some drinks then saw the Fleetwood Mac Tribute band. They were really good and the lady who was doing Stevie Nicks sounded awesome which is hard to do because Stevie has a very distinctive voice. She played the part well changing moving just like Stevie Nicks but not overdoing it. The rest of the band was also really good but the guitarist (to the right playing Lindsey Buckingham) really killed it and was a really great guitarist. They also told a lot of history about the band and its members and how they all got divorced from each other right at the start and still continued on which must have been tough. It’s great that they’re free and we’ve got to see some good bands along with a few bad ones but it’s still a fun night out.

I didn’t mean to be short with you @DukeCanBuildit when you texted me but I was already getting nudged (more like elbowed in the ribs) from Annie for checking the 3rd period score of the Habs game on my phone. lol I got to see the first two periods before we had to leave and at least saw Coufields 50th goal (and the fights) and was watching Stafkovskys 30th as the show was starting. 😳

Then I stopped at DQ for Tacos

Dude you live in Texas and get tacos at DQ??? Id kill for some real tex mex here in NOVA
Yeah, I like getting tacos at DQ. The one in Bonham is located on Highway 121 and is just right off of Highway 82. Taco Bell is located in downtown Bonham. The food is good, the prices are good, the people are nice, and I'm like my Dad and my late Grandpa. I bargain shop lol. Even when making a grab and go.

A good tribute band can be a lot of fun. It’s great that the casino has them for free. Were you at Desert Diamond? I was there on business a gazillion years ago. Before I headed across the state to the casinos in Yuma, I went for a mountain bike ride in the Tucson Mountain Park. Like most places in Arizona, that area is gorgeous. I can see why you settled there. Great hiking.

It was summer so it was HOT. The “Snakes Are Out” signs were posted so I was watching for them. Didn’t see any snakes but I did see a fat little Gila monster. Well, not that little but little for something called a “monster”. Still, something you definitely want to avoid, for sure.

The ending to that Habs game was pretty exciting. With them trying to hang on for a win with just that one goal, I can see why you were getting in trouble over checking your phone. 😆😆😆 I’m sure you watched the highlights on the NHL YouTube channel as soon as you could.

Yes I am, I thought it did give the extra 2% on gas. I learn something new everyday. Still cheaper then everyone else that was averaging $4.199 at all the stations we passed on the way.

Yes, still a great deal usually around $0.50 cheaper or more plus the 5%. Even at non Costco stations Citi gives you 4% cash back.

Yes it's Desert Diamond and I think they bank on people coming here for the show to gamble, eat and drink so that's why they're free. We did 2/3 (there's mainly slots there and very few card tables and I can't stand slot machines) and we usually meet a lot of people from previous shows.

We have signs here in our community along the sides that have trails that say "Beware, Rattlesnakes are present". Of course when Annie saw it she was like :surprised: and one of my neighbors had a Gila monster (yeah, most are pretty small but they can get big like a large Iguana) on her back patio a couple years ago. She just called another neighbor who came over with a grabber stick and put it in a bucket and brought it back out to the desert.

Man it's going to be a heck of a playoff series if Tampa and Montreal meet in the first (or any) round! 🥊🥊 Anderson beat the tar out of Carlile and of course Katy Perry picking on Lane Hutson the whole game was pretty lame. What an exciting game and I was glad to see Caufield get his 50th and it hasn't been done in 36 years since Stèphane Richet did it back in 1990. Of course I was up late looking at all the highlights. lol 😴

Well there's always EDM.

I'm sure they'll be praising McJesus (Conner McDavid) again this year until he finally wins a Cup. This will be the only Stanley Cup he'll ever win through.

That's awesome and a great memory!

I never got to see Kiss but saw a ton of other great bands. Being from MA Aerosmith would come around at least once (if not twice) a year along with Boston and J Geils who I saw all many times. I still swear I got my tinnitus from the Ted Nugent/Blackfoot show! We were young and dumb so of course we pushed our way up towards the from of the stage (shows were GA back then) and it was so loud you could feel the bass pounding through your chest. No kids were born after those shows unless someone didn't tell me about one. lol

Likely conceived not born!😂 We were already married seven years! My only other live concerts was seeing George Strait three times. Twice in college in the late 80s and once after in '91 I believe. He was awesome as well. No theatrics but mesmerizing.

What part a MA are you from? I saw Aerosmith at a stadium in Lynn (Manning Field?) and there were more fights in the crowd than I could count.

I was in Western MA and we use to see them (and the others) at the Springfield Civic Center and also at the Hartford Civic Center. You're right about the fights back then there seemed to be a lot of them but there was a lot of acid going around at that time too. lol
