I prefer full-bodied beers with a lot of flavor. I really love IPA's, but those tend to be high ABV, and not really refreshing on a hot day.
But if I plan to be doing something where I am out all day, I prefer something lighter, but not as light as most of today's light, ultra light, super light whatever. I'd rather save my money and drink water.
For a hot, summer day, try a Belgian or German wheat beer with a slice of orange in it, such as Hoegaarden (Bel) or Weihenstephaner (Ger); if you can't find those, Blue Moon does a fair job at recreating the proper thing, and is a little more readily available in N. Am.
These are full-bodied, full of flavour, but have a lower ABV and are easier to drink in the sun & heat.

Left the truck at the dealer this morning....

Transmission - hard 3-4 shifts. Holds 9th gear at highway speeds.

Parking brake boot - cracked.

Hvac - sloshing water sound behind glove box and fan sounds like crap, again.

They said a week before they know anything... Sure hope when they tell me they have to replace the tranny I at least get a loaner...

I gotta say, Everytime I took my subaru to the dealer I was given a loaner, didn't matter if it was for an oil change or a complete engine side hvac system replacement... Sort of a disappointing rralizatoon that "Ford doesn't do that"...

Ok, my very first thought upon seeing this pic is that the Dino is laughing just before biting off a caveman's head.

It's early and my coffee hasn't kicked in yet, so don't judge.

Drove it into town to deal with some banking, go to the hardware store and grab a few things in the Walmart.

It rolled past 5000 miles on the way home. I'm putting roughly 1,200 miles on it per year.

And here it is below in its natural habitat, on the battery minder.* lol.

I'm apparently retired now and it still gets driven only once or twice a month.

If it wasn't on the battery minder, the battery would be dead. That "click/tone" sound under the hood you hear when you open the door is happening every 45 seconds now. :| I guess I get to talk to the local dealership about it next week.

Edit: I took the negative cable off the battery so it doesn't sit there and "click/tone" all day and night.

the hood being opened might be triggering it or the key fob being near the vehicle. Kinda silly that thing primes itself so much.

Ok, now I can't unsee the Dino on its hind legs laughing as it rips off the caveman head....

so I havent done it yet... but in the morning I am dropping off the 5g at the salon for a makeover (auto detail shop). Im excited to have a clean ride again. I keep her basically clean but any time spent off road and sand, mud, grime, and slime is just hiding every where. It seems like every nook and cranny on the truck is rusty red with river bed dirt. smiles per miles dust lol. if it does not rain i may post a glamour shot or two.

Before I dropped line off to the dealer I took it to the car wash to pressure wah all the mud off it... When I got home and looked under it I was amazed at all the dirt and mud caked under there.... I just wanted to make it cleaner for the mechanic so they didn't get a face full of mud every time they took a part off... ?

When it comes home I'll do a full detail on it. ?

Big Blue was in hauling mode today. Not a dump run, but a pickup run to the local DPW for a couple loads of compost for our Memorial Day project. A new raised bed garden. I came up with this idea earlier this spring, and the better half took me up on it. Finally stopped raining long enough to finish it yesterday, so had to fill it today.

Replaced the cabin air filter Wednesday and replaced the front & rear differential fluid yesterday. The filter was a little overdue. ?‍♂
Currently have about 15,800 miles on my 2020. The front differential wasn't that bad, but the rear was black. The rear drain plug couldn't have been torqued to specs as it barely took any pressure to get it to move. Neither one had a lot of metal flakes on the drain plug magnet.

I daydream, daily, about dump runs. But sometimes, nature intervenes and sends you a sign that you need to do one.

This sign literally came out of the sky, from about 30 feet up - a branch!

Just enough to cut into 4 pieces and make a dump run! =D

Could of had Cheech-ka-bob tonite!

it's not a fallen little tree, it's a branch raining down like an arrow!
