Installed my fitzstick last week. Was a quart low and then some! I even had the dealer check it months ago. They either didn’t check or they are incompetent. I had harsh/delayed shifting issues. Added Lubegard and the PPE pan. All issues gone. I’m at 8000 miles.
If you’re not going to touch your transmission after adding Lubegard platinum then I’d suggest buying a fluid extractor and suck out some transmission fluid and add the Lubegard to replace what you took out.
Lubegard says add 1oz per quart in the transmission so 13oz of ATF out and 13oz of...
I see your point. I don’t know what their reasoning is in this particular situation but that is typically the factor as to why different regions have different recommendations.
They recommend different viscosities for different regions. I would just put 5w30 if you live in the southern states of USA. But northern colder regions might want to run 0w20.
I’d say pick you up a simple obd 2 scanner to store in the truck just in case. At least it would give you a clue as to why it’s limping. Transmissions don’t usually go from running great to trash in seconds(but it does happen).
Could be the strut bushings, swaybar bushings or ball joints but it’s way too soon for ball joints. Check it all but start with the parts you changed out.
I’m not super impressed with any new trucks on the market today and you’d think one brand would be better than the rest but go look at the other truck forums and you will see all of them have their issues. No matter what vehicle you decide to purchase, prepare for the worst and have some money...
I noticed the loud fan on my cold starts shortly after buying my Ranger. The cabin seems to do a good job of suppressing the noise but it’s still very much audible. I didn’t think much of it cause it’s quite common among trucks. At least you know ur fan works! Easiest solution is to just idle...
