Scott,This was yesterday.
I don't work on Fridays, so I drove into town to eat breakfast and go to the hardware store to buy a socket to replace the one I lost. It was a nice dreary morning and slightly cooler than usual. I was OK with that.
I got to kinda hang out with all of the retired old men that meet at McDonalds every morning. I'm younger and only semi-retired, though, lol.
Then it was off to the hardware store and the perfect place to park was located.
Before going into the hardware store, I walked to the other side of the strip mall or whatever it's called to visit a couple other stores and a weird thing happened. I was buying three Hot Wheels cars in the dollar store and was standing in line at the register. The woman in front of me stepped towards me, said something, but I didn't understand because she was wearing a mask, and hands me a 5 dollar bill. I was kinda stunned and usually always have something to say, but this time I didn't. I guess she wanted to buy the Hot Wheels for me. It was a weird moment.
The yellow Morris is a Treasure Hunt, I couldn't resist getting it. My Dad had a 1960 Morris Minor back in the 1980s. A fellow employee at work likes the George Barris Batmobile as much as I do, so I bought one for each of us.
Then I got the socket at the hardware store and it was time to go back home.
Bonus story! I drove out to Athens, GA earlier this week on business and saw at least 10 Rangers in traffic. That's a record number for me. I was in my company vehicle, though. (2022 F-150)
Bonus picture! This picture was made two days ago when I was out on business in Kennesaw, GA.
I admired his parking skills and it looked like he really likes and takes good care of his truck. The STX looks really good in silver.
Interesting story...now you have $5 toward your next mod...what is going to be?
