Hmmm, if you mean this one: https://www.stage3motorsports.com/6315831-19-20-ranger-t-rex-laser-x-black-grille-stock-badge.html then no, the honeycomb is behind the frame. I ask because it’s what I attempted to do on mine, yet on the EU version the grille is so much more complex, a lot of cutting would be needed.
So, I started cutting after my last email. It's something that I've contemplated for a year or more, but never ventured deeper, given the destructive way of this mod and the fact that the grill is so hard to remove. Anyway, picture time.

It's not final, there are more fixing points to add and make the mesh fully stick to the frame. Initially I wanted to go in one piece mesh, but cutting the already present mesh and bending into shape was not really an option. I am actually glad that I did it like below, as it looks like it's intended. The mesh is also not 100% same as the already present on the side one, so going with one level deeper was my choice.

For my vehicle there are options to have something similar to the raptor grill (which in OEM form will not fit mine) but I did not like the lack of depth of the aftermarket options, like this one.

Now, I have something unique and I am very happy with the outcome but please share an opinion if you think otherwise.

I have the option to attach the emblem, which I do not prefer or to add F.O.R.D. letters, but I actually prefer the badge-less look. Hints are welcomed!

You are braver than me! I like the clean look without the overdone raptor look letters.

Eventful 15 minutes with my Ranger. Went on the freeway to pick up the gf but it was quite backed up with traffic as it was rush hour. Gave her a call to have her come down my way instead(no traffic), hung up. Few seconds later in the stop and go traffic, I noticed two cars just pulled over on the emergency lane. Two bigger fellas hop out of each car, and start SWINGING!! It was just like all those road rage videos I have seen. Gave a few honks, gave them "come on guys look" and a little "calm down" hand gesture and they cooled it off after those initial swings. Dude's eye was filled with anger and watching me go by but at least no more swinging. Maybe the beauty of the truck confused him in the moments of rage.

Second event in the 15 minutes... on the way back home my usual exit I take.. I spot a white ford truck, seems perfectly sized to be a.... RANGER. Speed up just enough so I can overtake him under a certain freeway bridge right off the exit... Come next to him, smile...(he had his windows up though and tinted) BAT OUT OF HELL TIME. I slow down to go into my neighborhood turn and I just see him staring at my truck as he drives by. Then I see him SIT RIGHT UP against his steering wheel to continue staring in amazement in the side view mirror. Was quite hilarious, he was probably so confused at how fast and loud I was under that freeway bridge... Hope he saw the ranger5g sticker :turkey:

Tackled the Ford TBC today. Just need to connect up the two wires under the dash and it’s finished. Will be relocating the cigarette lighter plug to the back of the centre console. Was surprised how easy these white plastic clips break. Lost two, broke three.

Added the "Smoked Chrome" Ford badges....Thanks Benny!

Little tip, I did the front badge without removing the grill. Reached up behind the grill through the hole in the bumper in front. The nuts were finger tight and I pre-threaded the new badge before installing.

Added "RANGER" letters to the tailgate.
I got some of amazon.
The BD Trim ones looked nice too (and appear to have real 3M adhesive) but wasn't sure I wanted reflective, so went with amazon. Hope they stay on in car wash!

Removed the muffler, to see if there is potential for a better sound from the tiny 4cyl diesel. The muffler was anyway quite rusty after only 2.5y and only 25kkm. Of course one stud broke, so I had a bit of a headache removing it.

With or without the muffler there is no perceivable difference in the sound, otoh I am amazed how clean the inside was. I’ve cleaned the rust and painted with zic/alu paint.

I guess this is not relevant for USDM but I thought some info sharing will not hurt.

Loading her up right now to take her to my brother-in-law's place. Better shop, tools, and he's more experienced than I.

We'll be doing a Fox coilover install up front, and the global leafs with Fox shock install in the rears.

Definitely planning on removing the axle nut. But I've heard that disconnecting the LCA at the subframe is any easy method as well. We'll figure out how we want to tackle it soon.
