Honestly in my opinion the 26" is a bit longer than necessary. My line of sight is unaffected by the change.
Your line of sight may be unaffected, but is the front camera being swept completely so lane keeping a front collision is unaffected.

Just seem to add unnecessary stress on the brackets. My wipers get a lot of wiggle toward the end of the cycle.

I switched to 26/16 and the shudder at take off disappeared. ;)

Well it was a couple days project when i had free time and wasn't using the Ranger,
Crutchfield helped with some questions and a technical glitch all in all a great improvement over the 4.2 with many features i will enjoy. And i added the custom wallpaper from a USB stick. :)

Thanks, yes i ran into a problem with the reverse camera but it wasn't anything i messed up connection wise, it was a defective Maestro Rr module which they replaced and shipped next day air at no charge to me so thumbs up to Crutchfield.
Also to enable some features i needed to plug into the OBD11 port with a plug that was supplied, at first i wasn't to happy about that because i have to remember to unplug it for state emission inspection every two years and if i bring it into Ford for a service they might need to plug into,
but the pluses out weight that little nit picking i was fretting about.
Big improvement with the BU camera,

The phone mount being on your passenger side vent really threw me off for a while..

But looks good. I'm still debating if I want to do the same to my tiny head unit.

Ha Ha yea that is a MiraCase holder from Amazon holds the phone securely and hasn't come off the vent, i have the same in all the vehicles in the family satisfied with it.
And if the the install wasn't plug /play i would have left it alone i wasn't onboard with cutting the factory wires.

Was this that $300/$400 unit from amazon?

backed the f'r into the edge of my garage, cracked the rear drivers tail light... (thats the only damage)... the backup sensors never made a nose and the camera didnt see the edge of the wood coming at the very edge of the bed./bumper.

FML... just ordered a $350 ebay special if it works it works, I'll likely get another for the other side just so both knock offs look the same and then I'll have a OEM one hidden in reserve :)

But not a great day.
So, I picked up one of those cheap $275-350 Ebay LED brake replacements... and besides for it lacking the "ranger" emboss on the inside of the metallic part inside the lens, it is a perfect fit and replacement! I may grab another just to have the other side match lacking the little "ranger" letters inside. Figure I'd mention it as a follow up for those curious on those ebay tail lights.

Hi Folks,
Some of you might think I'm crazy or nuts, today I took off the wheels (one at a time) washed and polished each wheel. I do this every year to my vehicles, usually in the fall. Did my wife's Escape last week.
I don’t think you’re nuts because I did the same thing. But then again, I sort of feel nuts when the neighbors look over at me and see what I’m doing. I’ll do the wheel wells and everything.
