Today was (PM) Preventive Maintenance Day

I pulled the plugs and put a small amount of Anti-Seize on the threads @ 8,700 miles.
No water in the wells or corrosion noted. Plugs looked great.
I did take a quick peek at the valves with the Borescope, no issues noted.
Note: No issues with misfire Etc, just wanted to PM the plugs should I ever encounter water in the wells, plugs came out with ease, and installed them to specs 106 in lbs
I did not encounter issues others have had with #4 COP in getting it out or reseated, it just takes extra care to route and seat properly due to the HPFP fuel line in the way.

I also tackled the mouse prevention screen on the Air Inlet Cowl.
Used a 120 Grit sanding screen and some HVAC Tape. Hard to make it look pretty with such a small space for access. (but it works)
Note: I park in garage, but still wanted to take the extra step to prevent entry into the cab. No rodent evidence noted in the engine bay either.

As the cowl was put back together, I added some RTV in the seam between the (2) halves, not pictured. This is the water drip point down to the top of the engine, again this was just an extra step of PM to prevent any water making it down to the spark plug wells.
I added some flashing tape over the seam as well.

I tested out my new Coolant Tank/ Cap adapters that I added to my 35 Yr. old snap on tester.
I have tried a few other brand testers over the years, and they all fall flat as compared to the Snap-On. So, when the need comes for them, I have them.
I always hated that there was not just one set for all makes and years, and of course the Ranger is different and required a new set. (One Snap-On & One MAC) since Snap-On was out of stock for the Tank Adapter.

Where do you pull the cowl out at? Anyway you can post up a pic of where to start on that? I cant seem to figure that out... tried several times. thanks a million!

Pull the push-pins out (passenger side) and it will lift up and out of the way

The push pins are the small plastic plugs on the front side of the cowl, you will have (1) not picturted in the upper corner of the passenger cowl.

The vented part = the cowl
Under this plastic cowl is where you can see the inner metal cowl (inlets) for the Air Inlet (Recirculation Door)

Are you going to drive this one Neil???? I like the Ranger better. Just my opinion.
I keep telling my self that I will occasionally drive it.....but so far it hasn't left the garage since the day I brought it home.

Quick update. M190 input flange does not work with m210, But own driveshaft does connect to it just a few mm shorter from what I can tell at the moment. I’m going to hold off on getting a m210 driveshaft, and see if the spacer that comes with diff drop will be enough.

I moved it 50ft so that my parents could get their SUV out of the driveway.

T minus just under 2 weeks until I hit the road and go TF back to Colorado and back to my own life.

The joy and curse of being young and single.......

Just installed the new hood bumpers! Only moments after the package hit my front porch.

Thanks @subquark ! :like: Didn't even know they were missing until your post the other day.

Got to run an errand a bit later this morning. Can't wait to experience the additional HP! I figure hood bumpers must be worth at least another 7-10 HP.

LOL, and the extra opposite sex appeal too! With great power comes great responsibility, be careful out there! =D

You'll slice through the air with a hood that no longer wobbles and that makes you like a rocket with way more HP! =D

Got The Works at my Ford Dealer in preparation for the next road trip. Leave the day after Christmas. Going to do all fluids when I get back. Next upgrade probably better pads and rotors.
