They prevent the load from joining you inside the cab in addition to being mounting points for lights or supports for ladder/lumber hauling. All the fleet trucks here have them as standard equipment.
Or you from tossing item you're loading into the cab through the closed back glass.
Although that is a very amusing event and a delight for bystanders.

Sprayed on bedliner for the tailgate. I have the rubber bed mat already but wanted to protect the tailgate. I'll eventually do the sides/front of the bed as well but have to wait for it to warm up. Its not warm enough to spray that on outside right now.

The only time I like black is when it's clean. Have most of the Ford signature orange peel buffed out now.

After 6 weeks with zero rain it definitely looks like we will finally get some. Works better then doing a Raindance naked in the backyard ?.

Got a new garage door remote. Couldn't figure out the programming so using dremel modded some plastic and swapped the circuit board over to the new case/shell.

Essentially all that work just so I can have a god damn visor clip.. so a what did you do to your home post.

I really like those smart caps. Not much use for me, but in a previous life, I'd be all over one.

That other rig in the background looks interesting too.
OK4WD is a huge dealer for Alucab. That's what's in the background. They do a ton of it.
....except for Ford Ranger. Hence my Smartcap. That said, I'm glad that Alucab discontinued the Ranger cap. I don't think I would have been as happy with it. The Sartcap is heavier, but it's way solid! I'm sure the Alucab is sturdy, I just get a better vibe off the Smartcap.

See, that guy was right. The bed height is a defect, I can see you using the sidewalk to prop yourself up to reach in the bed.
So, that's Ken from OK4WD. He's taller than me. I'm 5'10" and I do keep a 2 step ladder in the bed. Especially after the lift.
