Add a purely aesthetic item today. I've had it for a while, but just got around to doing the work.

I'm happy with how it turned out. Not for everyone..

New profile / color vs older one (v3).

I'm getting quite fast and efficient at designing these overhead consoles. I've considered making "blank" shells (only pre-drill/cut items for mounting points and dome lights) upholstered in various colors to sell. Maybe offer a "deluxe" version pre-wired for various switches, power, radios, etc etc. I am not sure if there is a market for them though. Nobody else in the industry is making these for our trucks with the closest possible match being for the ROW models sold by ARB for $500 dollars no less. Plus no guarantee of fit and requires permanent modification to headliner and drilling of roof nibs. I think the bare bones shell and upholster costs me about 10% of that. My design requires no permanent changes and can be reverted to factory setup.

Little more work done today, should be done tomorrow.

Then he would've had to switch out the suspension for some Eibach or Fox shocks.:wink:
More of a Bilstein guy myself. Something about those machined silver bodies that really do something for me. The uhaul doesn't believe in shocks. Just rides bump stops.

I drove it around the area to warm it up and did it's yearly oil change. Ford says to do it once a year regardless of milage. It literally pops up on the screen every December.

It's currently at 3,637 miles. It's been driven in the rain maybe 4 times? and it still looks nice and clean underneath. Yeah, I know I should get out more.

I wish I lived near you so I could pick up your used oil and put it in mine.
Should be able to get at least another three thousand miles out of it.

Are you still attaching it to the roof the same way as your thread? Or have you changed it up?

Yes sir. Same method, two u-brackets and bolts up front and then the RAM ball mount in the dome light opening.
