Recently Costco has begun selling fresh pitas and we have started using them for most sandwiches. Great lighty toasted on the grill. Good for fake fish Tacos also .

Picked the garlic scapes. They are in the dehydrator now and the house smells like an Italian restaurant . Will be scape powder soon.

It's Wednesday so is Prince spaghetti day. Lol

Spent most of the day cooking up an Italian dish of spaghetti, meatballs and hot Italian sausage. I slow cook it and simmer on the stove for hours adding spices throughout the day. It's almost done and I've been starving all day.

I have to say it did come out (and taste) great. lol I'm glad I take after my mom on her Italian side because I sure hell don't like Polish food!

Here you can just see the front corner of the restaurant my grandparents owned called the Silhouette Club. The restaurant had a large area for big bands there and rumor has it the Italian mob use to hold their meetings there. She said her father was asked many times to join in but always refused but let them use the room for their meetings. Anyone familiar with the area it was right Rt 5 as you crossed the state line from Longmeadow, MA into Enfield, CT. After they tore it down there were a few different restaurants there and the last one was Abdow's Big Boy and after that a porn shop called Bookends. lmao I may or may not have been there a few times. She has a few other pictures (old B&W and an ashtray with the name and logo) I have to get from her before my sister grabs everything.
