True North reminds me of this pic of Max when we were at an Applebee's back in March. He wasn't too happy about being left outside....

Flank steak is one of my favourites - I like to season it on the heavy side, grill it on high heat for 5 mins. (or less) per side and it usually comes out a perfect medium rare.

Them blue taters look good, uh, hmmm.

Those baby Adirondack blue potatoes are very sweet. The leftovers make great potato salad the next day. Just couldn't wait for them to get big. My favorite steak is a good sirloin but inflation has pushed it to a price that I refuse to pay. This was pretty good with the marinade.

That’s the beauty of this cut - marinade it and it’s as good as any NY Strip or Top Sirloin (sorry about the names, some cuts are called different things here in Canada). The price point is great but, sadly, it‘s creeping up there too.

Not “tonight” but for lunch at the cottage it was Montreal smoked meat on a whole wheat bagel with some Monterey Jack cheese, a couple of dill slices, and lots of plain ole yellow mustard. Served up with some Lays Original chips and a cold Guinness “0”.

If you like Guinness and you haven’t tried Guinness “0”, you really should. For a zero alcohol beer, I had my doubts but they’ve come pretty close to the original with this nitrogen-charged tall can.

If you don’t like Guinness, you won’t like this either. ?

I never like Guinness so that'd be a big fat....??

BTW, do they give you a green top with the nitrogen-charged tall can? ?

Has alchohol been banned and prohibition been implemented by the king :frown:. The sandwich looks great.
