Dave, you and Annie can always visit these roadside Hotspots along your way!

Personally I like this one, the 6 ton prairie dog seeing how your feeding rodents and all!

Thanks Mike, I'll have to check them out and see if they're on any of our travels. We stopped at Wall Drug last year when we were coming back from Badlands NP. Talk about a huge tourist trap! Mostly a bunch of junk stores and believe it or not, Annie couldn't find anything there to buy!

I hope you’re not coming back soon. We‘ve just started with some of the drywalling…

We had to move that wall to cover up for a hole we made in the floor - you can’t even see it now. There were some services in the wall so there isn’t any a/c in the living room anymore and when you flush the toilet, that 3” drain pipe isn’t hooked up either. We’re not sure where it goes but we couldn’t hear anything draining and didn’t see any leaks, so it should be fine.

Oh, and that patch in that other wall is from where we closed off a window - we figured you had plenty of those already and didn’t need that many. Don’t worry, we boarded it up and you can barely notice it from the outside…

In fact, if you didn’t know there was a window there before, you’d never know we closed it up.

Anyway, things are coming along but I always use way too much drywall mud and I’ve got to go get cleaned up.

Safe travels, and don’t worry about the house - it’s in good hands.
I'm not even going to ask who you hired and how they got past the Bud Light security. o_O?‍♂

I've seen the signs for Wall drug and the corn palace along our way each time we went out there to hunt but didn't stop. The one trip we had some spare time we decided to drive an hour to see Mt Rushmore, it was fogged in! We only saw the base of the mountain ?.
Just have fun and travel safe!!

Thats to bad Mike it's really an amazing sight to see! Walking the presidential trail was cool because you're right there in front of all the presidents and there's plaques along the way detailing each one.

Mt Rushmore was the main reason for our trip there last year. We didn't get a chance to see it at night along with the ceremony they put on so we'll be doing that this year. Everyone told us that 3-4 days would be more than enough time but it was far from it. We spent 5 days there and now we're going back for 2 weeks but we'll spend more time relaxing there too. The whole Black Hills area is really nice and we can't wait to get back there.

:whew: Good thing it's 104 in AZ now, they'd never survive that heat and fry like an egg.

? That might not be a bad thing as I heard they're good to eat and taste like chicken.?
Believe me…they don’t!??

Just a thought Dave, and for the rest of you that like to get out and about. I found this web site a while back and it has helped me find some cool stuff to stop and see and a reason to stretch the legs.
Roadsideamerica.com
Go to the map and search your travels and see what off the beaten path stuff you can find.
p.s. some of it is not worth it ,but some is?

Thanks Bob. Mike just posted this same website and it looks like it'll be helpful finding different things to do in all the areas where will be traveling through.

It's fun to stop at some of these cool little off the beaten path sights. Although sometimes I can't get Annie out of there! She's the type that even though she has no plans to buy anything, she still need to look at everything there.
