Rick @Trigganometry is 100% correct. If there had been a previous crash or other incident at that location, and if the city, county or state did not properly mitigate the hazard, then they can be held responsible. Check with the jurisdiction that is responsible for that roadway and see if there had been any previous incidents at that location. Look for any crashes or disabled vehicle calls that might have occurred prior to your incident. Broken down trucks with diesel spills, hydraulic fluid leaks, etc, have caused many an unsuspecting crash. If there is something there, turn it over to your insurance. Your dash cam video should help your case, (even though I cant actually see it because it won't play.)not yet, parked in the garage last night and went to bed. got up early for work this morning and drove the 4g ranger so i havent seen the damages in day light yet. if i am home before its dark and not raining still i will take a better look.
